A free water jug just isn't worth the embarrassment of being seen buying the Mail in Sunday.

You're willing to buy an historically fascist newspaper in order to save £4.40, and then try and take the moral high ground. Now that's something you seriously couldn't make up.

Throwing away good morals for £1.60 is a bargain?
Jeezeypeeps to bellboys

Well, if your intention was to come across as pretentious and judgemental, you've done a good job. I've no idea what you think gives you the right to judge people's opinions based on their deal posting total, but if that's the type of person you are I hope it makes you happy.

Personally, I think the MoS is a detestable rag, and I wouldn't boost its circulation figures regardless of whatever freebies it had on offer.

Have a nice Sunday.

Some really silly comments and ALL from posters who seemingly couldn't post a deal if their life depended on it (not one deal posted between the first 2 negative respondees) You seriously couldn't make it up. The jug is worth about 6 quid and the paper sells for 1.60. It's a bargain. End of.

morals son. morals. if you had to be racist for a day, in order to earn £100, would you do it? surely a bargain but ...

In truth, you get the jug for free (good) and then spend a fortune on buying the filters, which normally have to be replaced every month (not good).

A clever piece of marketing.

An 8 month cartridge pack retails for £9.99 at Robert Dyas. Better value than Brita.
jhyt89 to Spotlight61
16 May 16 #25
incorrect. they want you to believe you need to change it every month but it's really every 3 months. I have tested the filtered water after 3 months and it is still good to use. they just say its 1 month to get us to spend more!

I am fairly sanguine about other people's views, but I must say The Mail is a nasty paper. Full of little Englander prejudices, and plain misogyny. Didn't one of their top writers poke fun at Andrew Marr's post stroke disability last week?
jcmyerscough to markjean
15 May 16 #17
Yes Quentin Letts was the man responsible for writing it, but did no-one read it before it was included for publication so someone else in the Mail thought this was acceptable

Jan Moir also has history of writing vile things

For similar reasons as I will not get the Sun/ Times I refuse to buy anything from the publishers of this "news"paper

whilst it may be a good deal for those who may want a water jug, sometimes people need to consider the morals of the company offering the deal
Axminister

Jug is only free if you have a store nearby if not the p.p. cost is more than you would pay for the jug elsewhere

So if you got a free 50" 4K TV for buying it next week you wouldn't spend £1.60 on it? I smell ****.
Jeezeypeeps
15 May 16 3 #22
As strange as you may find the concept of morals to be, no, I wouldn't. Partly because, as I'm not remotely interested in falling for the marketing of TV companies, I have no interest in having a 50" 4K TV; partly because, if I did want one, I could afford to buy one (because I work hard); but mostly because, if I did take them up on the offer, every time I sat down in front of I would feel morally bankrupt for having accepted it as a gift from such a bunch of outright scumbags.

Sorry to hear you don't have any personal moral or ethical standards; hope you find some soon. But I don't think a free 4K TV is going to help you though.

16 May 16 #23
I think you'll have trouble finding a 50' TV 50" on the otherhand...

16 May 16 #26
My annoyance is based on the fact that, in the main, the whingers on any deal are the ones who contribute so precious little to the site (and you, I'm afraid, do come into this category). If ALL posters on here did as little actual deal-finding/posting as you (and the others) this site would literally grind to a halt. Then where would you do your moaning/moralising?
bellboys
16 May 16 #27
Deals, son, deals. Post some. At least one, why don't you? What are you frightened of, posters like you replying negatively? :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you find any good deals on here for feed for that high-horse you're sitting up there on? While you continue to make judgements on other people's behaviour based on your own unfounded assumptions, I'll just get on with my shopping.

Maybe your "annoyance" about the perceived injustice of people not responding to a deal in a way that meets your personal world-view is something you need to find a better way to deal with? Thanks for the insight into your character though.

Enjoy your day

How do you know?
Ahh, penny dropped! You secretly read it. Saddos. Apologists everywhere today.

Bet you're all remainians? Dopey wet-behind-ears, no experience of life, think they know it all, but in reality know sweet FA.

ha ha ha what a f **** you are. Historically fascist... how f old are you? I'd stay on at school if I were you. This is about hot deals not about when its time for you to come out from under your stone!
If op had gone to Waitrose (wait a mo, bet you wouldn't be seen dead in there either, you know... it for snobs! F. ****!) he could have got the Wail for free by spending £8.40 on other shopping. The Jug is actually quite good, even got a 3 quid off filters, and a 15 quid off voucher for bank hol.
Yeah, I'm an idiot, so daft I got a paper free I don't really want, I cut my token out and got a free jug, as I did the free Lego.

This country is now full of f. saddos like you who doth protest too much, offended by everything under the sun (do you read that?). Apologists every f where today. If you don't like a newspaper, don't mention it. Simples! In any case, how do you know it's that bad... do you believe what you hear from other Wail haters, or I bet like lots of Wail haters you secretly **** read it don't you? HTF else would you and other Wail haters know what was in it?
Go back under your stone and next time please don't bother coming out!

It was simply a good deal. End of. As OP said.
You should have got the jug... you could have poured some ice cold water over your sad head! :stuck_out_tongue::D

You seem nice. I'd love to reply to your comment, but as it's just the nonsensical ramblings of a half wit I don't really understand the point you're trying to make. Also "apologists" doesn't mean what you think it means. Have a nice day.

There was a surprisingly good bit by Frankie Boyle I saw recently where he was saying that people came to his show and were offended by things he was saying...it's all subjective as to who gets offended by what, and here's a simple solution - if you don't like a certain newspaper, don't read it! It never ceases to amaze me how many people try to shove their own opinions down as though they're fact.

It's all subjective. Just accept that some people read this paper, some don't; and move on. Some people find it a morally poor paper, some are happy to take the freebies (and hey, maybe even read the paper) and leave it at that.

What seems to have happened where people now suddenly think their own opinion is fact?!
