Seems a very good price. Free click and collect from my local store, so im presuming for others too. Please keep in mind STOCK IS LIMITED due to sale.

Reserved thanks OP - just hope the staff don't take all these!! I think Homebase isn't guaranteed to be in stock until you get a confirmation text / e-mail. I think previous deals have suddenly seen items not been available even after saying they are in stock. My local had 3, so fingers crossed at least one will be left over for me!!

These are a great phone, we had the quad! However, for people buying because of the call blocking facility, please be aware that it is limited to only 10 numbers. If the 8500 is still available, go for that as you can block 1000 numbers! The 6500 is a great deal for the price but remember it's call barring limitations.

I was going to go collect one from Chaddesden (triple set for £20) then realised my Wife will be going past another store today so I reserved one for her to collect. Assuming she is successful i will gladly help out the 1st person to request my spare Chaddesden collection details and pass them on via PM.

They have both sent an SMS saying they are ready so fingers crossed.

As the double was oos I reserved 2 triples for the house and workshop but received a call saying only 1 triple available but they had a single which I reserved instead. When I previously checked on their website the store was showing no singles available, their stock control seems a bit inaccurate so maybe worth phoning before you leave home to check your item is in store.

Well collected mine lunchtime. Went to CS desk and saw a couple of BT phone boxes under the counter, so assumed one of these was mine, however when I said I had a reservation the lady went to a stock room at the back, so I am guessing those under the desk have been 'put by' for staff???

Please be aware, even though the website is showing OOS for some models to collect, there may still be some in the store. I went to pick up a BT 6500 model that I reserved at Leicester Homebase. I happened to also go to the phone section and saw the colour 8500 single handset box on the shelf with the marked ticket price. Took the empty box to counter, and they had one left:-) All other models gone though. You may still find a single 6500 handset(the one I decided to leave)

just been to blackpool store and was told none were left, then i overheard a convo of cheap phones by staff members
im gusessing they've cancelled all the customer orders and kept em for themselves.

Homebase and Currys/PCWorld worst place for offers, usually staff have nabbed them before public become aware. then cancel orders.

Worth checking in your local Maplin Electronics if they have them in store and also if they do price match. They will honour price match as on homebase it's reserve & collect in store so it's not classed as an online offer.

If you can find the BT8500 Twin Set in your local Maplins Store with price match they will also honour that too unfortunately they only had the BT 8500 Trio Set in my local Maplins though.

I'm surprised so many people still use these things. Won't be so cheap when the government forces telcos to remove the line rental charge if using broadband only. This'll no doubt happen within the next five years as it's on the agenda. Will lead to a lot more people using VoIP.

Who knows, but they do. The website says they won't, instore they were fine about it. Can't hurt to ask. If they say no then fair enough. I wouldn't push it but you might get lucky.

Unfortunate. The woman in Maplin I spoke to was very nice and I spoke to her just the same.
Regardless if it's sold out if it's still listed on the homebase website with the price and it doesn't say sale they have to honour it, just show them on your phone and they have to match it, that is if they do Price Match within their store.
Have a word with a manager, be polite.

I've had two orders from homebase cancelled One for the twin phones and one for the triple phone? cant understand what happened .. they were there when I ordered and I got an email saying to pick them up tomorrow...Then I got an email saying there was a problem and they have not got them.. :disappointed:

Well I picked mine up and turns out that 6500 trio wasn't there (I reserved one) but they put aside 2 6500 dual packs instead as the trio wasn't available. extra handset for the same.

no 8500's but I already have them at the parents home which are excellent devices. even without caller display to make them work best they totally killed the cold callers...lol

3 cordless phones for £20 suits me, I have had some BT cordless twinpack for about a decade now that did the job, ie sit and do sod all for days on end and then the odd spam call. I don't use any caller ID or call block features and VirginMedia can sod off for £2.75pm extra.

Since my mobile contract allowed 0800 & 03 numbers as part of my unlimited minutes it never gets used for an outgoing call anymore either.

The double was £10....it was the triple which was £20. I reserved 2 twin packs & had confirmation via email & text that my order was ready for collection, however when I arrived they only had 1 & said that I shouldn't have been able to reserve 2 as there was only 1 in stock. I politely said that it was very annoying that they hadn't called or emailed to tell me that I could only have 1 set as I'd promised my parents 1 of them as their phone has recently broken.
The salesman ended up selling me a triple pack for £10 to make up for my disappointment......happy days
