I'd never played a DS game before I played Bloodborne. I enjoyed/hated/appreciated it enough to then play Dark Souls 3. However, I doubt I will ever play DS 1/2 and Demon Souls.
I wish that unlike button would hurry up and get here. :man:

Fantastic game. Probably my GOTY from 2015, alongside Splatoon, Xenoblade and MGSV.
The only caveat I'd put on is that it can be very hard. I know a few people who just couldn't get on with its difficulty, and obviously a PSN version gives you no way to sell on etc if it's not for you. So if people are on the fence they may want to wait for a good deal on the disc version.
It's a proper videogame though - no story padding, no button mashing to just get through the levels; just a fantastic system with great controls, mechanics etc.

Yeah, the first section is arguably the hardest in the whole game. Take it slow, use pebbles or shots to lure enemies away from the pack and off them one at a time... Mind you, even then you still have Father **** to deal with. Good luck!

Not at at all. I've tried the DS games and don't really like them, but I loved Bloodborne. I've spent dozens and dozens of hours into it and enjoyed every one of them.
Just buy it, but I can't stress enough - the beginning is tough but you really must stick with it because the rewards that come later make it more than worthwhile.

Not really. Although there is a similar-ish vibe between the games they're actually very different.both in their story and gameplay. Dive in, the blood is lovely!

Bought this when it was last on sale. It was a big wake up call for me. Brutal as anything but fun when you can see a pattern after dying 10000 times :laughing:

Saves, yes... game data, no.
i.e. you'll have to reinstall the game completely but your existing game saves will work fine.

Slowly working my way through this right now - bought the GOTY a few months back when it was at £24.99. It's an absolutely magnificent game - if you own a PS4, this is pretty damn near essential.

One of the best games on PS4, highly recommended.
Does require a bit of thought in that, like Dark Souls, if you button mash like it's God of War, you will not get far.
However, the combat is faster then DS, there's no hiding behind shields here!
Just buy it, it's great.
