The Workmate WM301 has jaws made from bamboo which is better than the fibre board used on many budget collapsible work benches. Unfortunately the frame design is poor and as a result the Workmate WM301 wobbles from side to side more than others. The more common design lends itself to the addition of a cross brace which greatly improves the stability. The design of the workmate WM301 does not allow this. The plastic wing nuts that lock the Workmate WM301 in position do not look strong enough to last and they get in the way when sawing close to the jaws.
A better option is to buy one of those with the alternative design and add a cross brace. Just be aware that the fibre board jaws will not bear a heavy weight.

Saw these at this price a few weeks back in my local. Problem is that this is the basic workmate and never found this one to be of great quality or use.

My mate just went into tesco looking for this item. While he was there he spotted a white goose loose, he chased it all round the shop.

Why would he chase a goose around the shop? Hope he gets the help he needs.
