Got one last year but only single spiral left at that time, it is doing very well.
Saw something like 20 in Didsbury this morning both single and double spiral

Thanks for the tip, the local Aldi is 5 mins from work so popped down and they probably had about 10 of these , so I picked up 2 of the double stem ones. All healthy. They also had fig and Olive (£14.99) trees same 3.5L tub but there were only a few of those so perhaps that was stock from earlier in the week.

Voted cold. Every time I've bought any plants from Aldi my house has been infested with flies

Plants at our local Aldi are a bit of a joke - they look great the day they arrive but a couple of days later they're all dead in their trays. Seems like staff training does not include the need to add water...

This is something different to the normal plants they sell grow it outdoors it be fine - also a tip is to add a couple if leafs to cauliflower dishes to banish the smell.

A sheltered spot that gets sun , don't overwater it , stand the pot off the ground on bricks or pot stand as they don't like to stand in water . Mix compost and grit when repotting to aid drainage. .

Does anyone know can this be left in the pot? Or does it have to be planted etc. (I'm hopeless with gardening)

It will need to be replanted into a bigger container as it grows. But in our British climate they grow rather slow. I've had a pair outside our house for 3 years. They have grown the odd inch I'm sure.

Bought one of these last year, still going strong survived outside over the winter.
Can be used for cooking as it's a Laurus Nobilis on the label. https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=251
Check that you're happy before cooking with it rather than just taking my word for it!
