If your Xbox One is buckling under the strain of Overwatch or Doom, and installing one more game is finally going to tip it over the edge, it's probably time to buy an external drive and gain some much needed storage space.
This post contains the best prices available for each drive from all the major retailers. This should take all the pain out of tracking down the best place to buy, whether you're looking for a very specific drive, or just want the best price per GB.
I've deliberately excluded deals that are limited availability, or store-specific. Every product & price in the list is a nationwide deal, available to order online or pickup from a store.
The lists are in capacity/price order. In brackets you'll find the retailer and the code to paste into their website's search box to find the drive.

Bought the seagate 4TB B017KE8OG0 HDD for my PS4 a week ago, now its come down in price :disappointed: Still well worth it.
Quick note to anyone wanting to upgrade their PS4, The form factor of the drive inside is very high, possibly around 15mm. Its twice the height of a regular 2.5" disk.
It does fit into the PS4 and work perfectly, but you will need to remove the Hard drive tray completely and will need to unscrew some screws on the metal frame in order to fit it in. Whilst your at it, might as well replace the thermal paste.
Now that the frame is up slightly, the top sliding panel above the HDD will not longer clip on, but sits on fine. Since i dont move my ps4, it doesn't bother me.
It is very easy to remove from the external caddy, you're more than likely to break the clips but is perfectly usable for the 500GB disk that came with my PS4.
loads of space, time to play some more overwatch.
It is slightly cheaper on ebuyer - Ebuyer link With standard 5 day delivery for free. Only 2 quid cheaper, but may help if you don't have prime?

If you're after a simple 4tb external desktop drive, the 4tb Seagate expansion is only £90 at Argos, plus you get a £10 vouche.
Argos has the 2tb portable in red or black, (blue is an extra £5!) for £59.99 at the moment. The £5 gift card effectively brings it down to Amazon price if you've something else to buy.

This is a used 1TB desktop drive with no criteria on condition, quality or previous use. It's not comparable to anything here and if you've bought from Cex before and seen some of the stuff they send through then you would be mad to buy a hard disk from them (like buying a laptop and having it shipped in a jiffy bag on more than one occasion).

I think because 1TB is the sweet spot for most retailers; with a lot of the smaller supermarkets selling 1TB as their maximum capacity they've kept created a premium over say 500GB.
so why don't you tell the OP so that he/she can update the thread rather than bleat about it on here?
