Apparently avocados freeze and defrost very well so may have to buy buy buy

My flatmate and I eat one a day, well i blend a whole one in my workout drink, so they're perfect as 17 packets (34 fruit) will last 17 days. The great thing is that you stick some in the fridge so they ripen slower, keep some out and because they're not ripe when you buy them you can pick out the softest two each day, couldn't say no to 20p for an Avocado :laughing:

edit: I didn't realise but Tesco have them on offer, two for 79p down from £1.09 so might be worth checking your local Tescos reduced section for the half price 40p goodies :smiley: These ones are smaller, about 135g each but means you don't have to eat so much in one go.

I wonder if there's a big excess stock of Avocados this year or something. Lidl have them on offer just now, I was in Tesco and they had two boxes full of the twin pack ripen at home reduced to 40p, haven't seen such a large stock reduced like that before (i thankfully grabbed 17 packets :smiley:) and now Farmfoods offer. Hopefully we see cheap prices like that for a while over the summer.
