SSSHHHH!
The less people appreciate how far more cost-effective leasing can be compared to owning, the less deals there will be for us smart people.
Carry on with your £250+ a month 5-year car loans for your "pre-loved" bangers that cost another fortune to fix when they go wrong and return next to nothing when you sell then, folks! It's the right choice (for us leasers, anyway) Whatever you do, don't do the maths!

I imagine this is 'stock car' clearance so you wont be able to add options at all, shame as the price would allow a few.

Tempted by this but really would like bigger alloys, the 17's just look too small on a car like this.

so not keeping up with the Jones' , but keeping your motoring costs finite and avoid a ditch full of **** you can easily fall into , and then you are **** and you have to pay your way out or write off your losses , paying more than the term of a reasonable expensive lease as you do -
It's lease or buy a 3rd party warranty if you can, have to admit ive not looked at them properly though as i am skeptical what will be covered on a car that is not brand new.

25 May 161#80
Sure and take the hassle with it too, even if you spend a reasonable amount on buying a used car you are not guaranteed to have a good or cheap time.
I am a walking example of how owning a used car can punish you (and this isnt the first time , but its by far the worst) , i've had to spend about 80%, probably more, of its value repairing it and its been off the road for a long time - its back now working lovely but first thing i want to do is sell and get a lease as who knows if i will have more bad luck, would have been a wise decision to throw 7k on a lease last year than give it to the garage so i can have my car live there most of its 5 months off the road.

of course it is, id love to spunk 200£ a month after putting 2.5 grand down to do so.. Just dont have 2.5 grand or 200£ a month lol. In all seriousness, i've been looking at a lot of these lease deals lately, and the monthly cost is fine, it's just finding one with not so much of a deposit up front.

If you are into driving a new car every 2-3 years, leasing cars is the best way to do it as it costs less than depreciation.
Some people are perfect driving 10 year old cars, some people rather have a new one.

25 May 161#68
so hold on, you pay 2.5 grand up front, to then pay 200£ a month just to "rent" a car for two years? oh, then there's insurance cost to factor in, I'm guessing there is a lot of people with credit cards that they no plans on paying off any time soon.
nearly 4k a year to have a "nice" car... ok.. I'm clearly in the wrong business if people are willing to pay that.

Not really, its extra rental, you dont get your £2000+vat back.
If you goto the link and change it to plus maintenance, then change it back the price rises to £617 which is more likely, seriously doubt anyone with get this car for £204 per month

The only thing I'd say about this is I had a 2011 A7 with S Tronic box that failed after 4 years and 70k miles.
Audi wanted £10k for a new gearbox with a £5.5k goodwill contribution.
Traded it for a new A7, I'd never have one out of warranty again.

Just got myself an Audi A4. Got the 2.0 tdi 175bhp. It's a Quattro and returns about 40-45 mpg motorway driving. The mpg is decent but I drive it quite hard so I've never got great mpg. The interior is not quite merc standard and I liked the pure RWD of my old 325i BM. I find Audi's are the nicest to look at though.

I think it must have been a glitch - it's gone now.
Had one of these, absolutely adored it. V. comfy with oodles of power when you need it. 2000revs and it just eats up the miles with very little noise, plus with all the toys you could ever need. Make sure you get the folding rear seats option, as it isn't standard [or wasn't]. Rear shelf is fixed too so limited scope for carrying wardrobes etc. Had to replace the gearbox in mine though. NOT CHEAP. And neither is the servicing. Audi Sat Nav isn't the greatest either, but still an awesome car. For this money, it's a steal.

A car typically depreciates by 20-25% per year.
If the depreciation was 20% of the MRP a year for two years, the car will have lost 36% of its value at the end of the term.
You think paying a little over half the likely depreciation is a bad deal?
