Bit tempted by this. I've been mulling over getting a NAS but for the same price I could have a fully-fledged server handling NAS, torrent and backup duties.

Does it come with any cable?

ASUS website has the following accessories listed, which I assume means they come 'in the box':
Keyboard
Mouse
AC Adaptor
Power Cord
Warranty Card
Quick Manual
Comes with Win8.1 so probably not a bad deal but it's going to be a fairly slow processor, but a £30 SSD will help as will uninstalling the usual preloaded crap

In what way is 8GB RAM a limitation in a box like this?

got one of the ones that only has damage to the box. Not sure I need of want it but will think of some way to use it. I've got the RAM already.

It is simply a limitation. I am not prescribing what people will use this box for and therefore no idea what memory requirements they might have. I imagine Chrome (spit!) alone could use up 8GB fairly quickly with a few tabs open simultaneously.

Could not find if this has hdmi connection. Anyone knows of it?
The processor will be the performance bottleneck well before that much RAM has been used, no matter what you use it for.

When I have used Chrome it didn't appear particularly CPU-intensive, but it did hoover up memory like it was going out of fashion. One of the worst-coded Windows applications I've every come across, and Google seem completely uninterested in addressing that problem. Not quite sure why the CPU would be the issue for a memory-hungry application.

I use Chrome every day on my Dell Venue 11 Atom tablet with 2GB RAM, I can't say I experience the issues you mention, runs perfectly well.
