Have suddenly discovered this which they seem to be very quietly rolling out. Items include hot jacket potatoes with fillings, Seattle's Best coffee, Yorkshire tea, refillable soft drinks, chicken burger, ice cream sundae, fries, pesto pasta salad, hot dogs, chicken nuggets. Possibly salad bowls. At breakfast time breakfast butties are available. Hash browns can be added for 50p. Main point is everything is £1 so it's effectively a "pound cafe", apart from 16" pizzas. Filtered water is free (never heard of this anywhere, how great!), Ella's baby food is free when anyone buys any adult food, and soft drinks are refillable. Here's an article for some more info of some of what's on the menu: http://your.asda.com/news-and-blogs/we-ve-added-some-tasty-additions-to-the-express-diner-menu.
Stores I've found that have this new cafe format so far are Grantham, Leicester, Strelly (Nottingham), Colne (Lancs), Manchester Eastlands (from 3 June 2016) Hull Mount Pleasant Beeston Nottingham Huyton (from 30 May 2016) Felling Norwich Hall Rd Lincoln North Hykeham Gillingham Pier Gravesend Pyle . Can anyone add any others they know of to here and post any comments if they have been to one? Thanks.

Park royal store has had a little cafe thing in it since the 80s, my mum used to buy tea and cakes while we waited for the next bus to turn up.

The fine folk of Beeston would be furious if they were mistaken for the troglodytes of Long Eaton!
Maybe there's an Asda in the Beeston in Leeds?
Also, Strelley isn't spelled so I suspect OP's list isn't from the most switched-on source (probably Asda themselves!)

I went to the new gillingham store where they had this and couldn't believe it! Just one slice of pizza is bigger than your hand so more than worth the £1 you pay for it. I just got a coffee for £1 which was really nice. Have to admit I much prefer the new style cafe and hope my local (Broadstairs) gets one soon!

Beeston and fine Folks? had the pleasure if living there for 8 years as a child. Lived next to a family that were on the Neighbours from hell tv program.
On a positive note I had many a happy time swimming in Bramcote baths

You can buy the whole pizza for £5! They are boxed and made to order.

Found an Asda at Sutton near Nottingham whilst holidaying in Derbyshire. Had 2 teas & 2 sausage baps for £4, brilliant value and good tasty food.
