The vehicles are definitely one of the best aspects of this game, if you like mil-sims then go for it!
Free to play until then if you want to try it out (as pointed out by kautya).

Never actually tried this but see a few people playing this. Would anyone recommend?

Arma 3 is all about the mods not the game.

This is an excellent game/sim. Easily worth the money.

It is a Milsim. If that is your type of thing then it is very fun indeed. You should have done your research before just jumping in and buying.
If you like Project Reality, Op Flashpoint, Arma 2... Other milsims, then yes, you will enjoy this. I will warn anyone looking to get it though, it requires quite a lot of patience to play, not just because the game itself is a realistic, and therefore slow pace compared to your CODs and Battlefields, but because it is one of the few games that uses (quite literally) every single key on your keyboard and mouse, and all of them have a use for you.

doesnt run well on 750ti even on low settings, keeps dropping frames like mad even on low settings and getting on rp servers can just be a chore

Strange as i use a gtx660SC & it runs at a constant 60fps on normal settings . Using an i5-750 @4.ghz+ tho so that might be the difference?

The reason you couldn't reverse is not a bug, you most likely took the wheels off the front of the car.

Is this game worth it?

I implore everyone to do their own research regarding games, this usually includes watching YouTube game-plays. If you think you may like the game, buy it to try it out for < 2 hours and use the Steam refund system to get a refund if you don't find it enjoyable.

not for me. there is no fun on this game, too real in the bad way such as triangulate location bla bla bla. unlike Battlefield or cod series which just go go and shoot shoot shoot. I got frustrated to find the opportunity to get into the real battle, way to long for my liking.
also, it is quite buggy. crashed my car to the road barrier and it can't reverse. eventually gave up, uninstalled. pity as the graphic looks good
It's a relatively fresh install of Windows 10 and the CPU works at 100% when the tabs do freeze, could be an unstable OC but I reckon it's just a faulty motherboard.

Sounds like you have a Windows/chrome problem rather than a hardware problem

Great game for Intel owners, but not so well optimized for Amd, works great on my 4670k but not great on my 8350, based on the forums, this is because the game uses the first 2 cores.

I have an I7 950 back at home and a FX6300 here OC'd to 4GHz but it always seems to lock up for a few seconds while using Chrome I'm hoping it's just a bad motherboard as it makes a buzz when doing work, will definitely stick to Intel next time.
