No idea how much these are normally but apparently Apple now only do AppleCare Plus and whoever rings them to register this may get a free upgrade to the AppleCare Plus. Found this instore at Oldham.
most likely these are useless now, as was told by apple that you can only get applecare plus within a limited time of getting a new device

Thought there was a burgler in the house so threw it into my fire place as a diversion technique.

Put it in freezer to fix battery issue, and then trapped it in the over door.

I bought this for my iPad Pro 12.9 inch - it is NOT Applecare+ (so you don't get the 2 damage claims as someone above mentioned). It is, however, a very cheap way of extending your warranty for a year. It didn't work online - I had to ring up Apple and they applied it manually. Took about a week to get the confirmation email.

I snapped my iPad in half. (Don't ask)
Got this care afterwards, claimed and got a new pro as they don't do my model. However had to get a refund from sainsburys as they don't have regular apple care anymore, so had to return the pro and get an android tablet which I am more than happy with except I broke it again.( don't ask)
Same comment as The Bear, bought mine over a year ago from Asda for £10. Rang Apple and registered my new IPad Pro. I was transferred to a Customer Service department who had to register the contract off-line. You do not get AppleCare Plus though

As usual there's a lot of BS here. I bought this two weeks ago, you can register it within the 1st 12 months of the iPads warranty. You cannot do it electronically, you have to call Apple and it takes a day or two once the call is open. This is NOT Applecare Plus, and you do not get upgraded, it's simply return and repair, so non 2 claims of accidental damage.

I purchased this before Xmas. I was told by Apple that it was not a supported product and that they could not activate it, and would not upgrade it AppleCare+. Got a refund from Sainsburys though so nothing lost.

I know a family member who recently got the free upgrade to the AppleCare Plus. You might have been one of the unlucky ones.
