I could give you a long and detailed reply, instead here is the short version.
The site is full of android, inbred monopoly lovers, who hate apple. That can't see beyond their pent up hatred for Apple.
Also asking why your own deal is cold adds up to an auto down vote.

Because you're whining on EVERY single deal you post is my guess.
Either that or it's a cold deal...

Absolutely fantastic price, I've got one and use it all the time to watch films etc on a full screen , only cold from the apple haters and people who don't know what this is for.

Or maybe because everyone knows this should have cost £15.99 from the start?

Eeeeerrr no I'm not I've only ever posted 4 deals, never commented on my own deal - I just didn't understand why something which is so heavily discounted was cold. It's illogical. So your guess is wrong but I hope you feel better now you've made a smart are rude comment, super clever.
Why do people insist on being so rude from behind a keyboard! I really like this site but am amazed at the need of people to be so vile and makes nasty comments? Keyboard bully's.

TBH it's cold because it is easy to find an unbranded one for £1 on eBay, voted hot though. It's apparently a deal for people who want to pay for overpriced stuffs of Apple

There's no audio with VGA so keep that in mind.

These are so expensive in he first place because they contain an ARM SoC.

It does allow audio I checked the Apple website

It can't support audio, unless there is a separate connection on the cable too? VGA does not support audio

£16 for an adapter cable? Unbelievable markup on that. Nobody should be using vga unless every other option has been used first. Voted cold. If not to simply try and help people save their hard earned cash.

It does, 100%
I am no tech expert but I've done it myself no extra cable

For all the stupid comments about this just being a cable etc it is a lot more than that, it actually runs its own mini IOS and gets software updates... Instead of being stupid quoting how much products should cost maybe you should get an education and look into the cost involved developing products!

Any deals on HDMI ones?

Whether or not the adaptor somehow supports audio, the televisions won't do. VGA does not support audio, never does never will as an input format. You have to combine it with some other audio input, like 3.5mm audio jack. If the adaptor comes with such a splitter then great, but VGA can't support audio

I dunno how they think they're getting audio out of it (maybe confusing it with the HDMI version?) but you're 100% correct. VGA does not, and never will, carry audio.
It needs a separate 3.5mm stereo lead to carry audio. (And a separate VGA cable to connect to the TV/monitor .... and a separate lightning cable and plug if you want to charge at the same time .... gotta love Apple!)

Just for those who are not sure how this works... Plug it into your phone, plug hdmi cable into this and into your tv, now use a streaming app etc and watch films on the tv, no other cables etc needed, the sound comes out of the tv,

This is VGA though not HDMI.
Specs from Apple:
System Requirements:
Requires a VGA cable (sold separately) for connection to your TV or projector. Does not support audio output.

Apple's own product spec for it also says this: http://www.apple.com/uk/shop/product/MD825ZM/A/lightning-to-vga-adapter
