if it goes wrong after 6 months they will refuse to fix it, had to contact manufacture, will never by of them again.

I think that is, and has been the case for a very long time - the same with most retailers, online or store bought, usually the manufactures or their appointed service departments attend call outs to sort out problems, unless of course, you're looking for a replacement or refund from the seller, or its beyond repair etc?

The Hoover fridge freezer I had was terrible. Basically a Candy fridge freezer and operation was problematic with times where it would allow food to defrost and then refreeze it. The seals pulled away from the door they didn't seem to be glued on correctly. The whole thing was dire quality. I later found out Candy fridge freezers were poor quality and my Hoover was just a brand slap on a Candy. Hoover is a brand to avoid nowadays I think. It's either poor quality italian appliances or poor quality hong kong/chinese vacuum cleaners.
Replaced with Beko fridge freezer which just seems miles better in operation. The Hoover was very slow to freeze ice cubes but the Beko does it quickly just seems a much more efficient design and manufactured to a far higher standard it seems. The door seals as well as being much stronger/thicker are also anti-bacterial so don't get the mold build up the Hoover had that had to be cleaned. In a Which reliability survey of fridge freezers, Miele came first 90%, then LG 89% and then both Bosch and Beko with 88% reliability yet Beko's are normally considerably cheaper than these other 3 brands. The survey I used is a couple years old now.

Hm. Is the suction on this good? I'd imagine it'd be a nightmare doing the stairs.

Not an item you are likely to return though check out the returns policy, I refuse to buy from any company with 50%+ restocking fee.
