"American Tourister" written on your bag might not be a great idea whilst travelling to certain parts....

Brilliant find op. I have this bag (small I'm guessing) and paid about double for it from Amazon a year or so ago. Use it for work trips and is so useful as carry on luggage with the no frills airlines. Well made and still feel the assurance it's like new despite dozens of trips unlike other bags I've had in the past by other brands. Definitely one to buy at this price.

Flybe overhead storage is too small to accommodate these easily.

Good value case I have this in black. Perfect for a week summer holiday. Too small for say two weeks long haul, but a week in Spain. Perfect !

I just brought the small for cabin baggage and now have found out that the width/height of this is 40cm, 5cm over the airlines 35cm allowance that I'm flying with in a couple of weeks. Has anyone had any trouble at the gates with this kind of difference? I'm sure it'll fit into the bag sizer sideways.

I travel a lot, but would never buy this. I only use Samsonite which have lasted well on many trips over the years.

Where? It says 'American Tourister by Samsonite' , does not mean they are made by them, just that they own them. Classic case (boom-boom) of hoping a great reputation rubs off on a lower-quality product.

Never heard of a problem as you implied, it is more risk with Burberry, Gucchi, Louis Vuitton.. big brand names lebel on luggage attracting theft.

I would say I expect the small to be under 2kg & the medium to be closer to 2kg than 3kg. Why on earth anyone buys a cabin case that takes up 1/4 of a 10kg allowance is beyond me.

These bags were used on a recent trip around the US which included internal flights and many of hotels. Held up well and still in great condition!

Why risk it? Do you really want to chance missing your flight, paying additional costs, etc ?
Maybe next time check the size of bag you need before buying one? Just a thought
To be honest I was just looking for people's feedback if they had ever been in that situation, with some airlines making their cabin baggage allowance smaller and smaller I'm sure there are many. Easi-jet are the only airline that I've flown with that have actually measured my cabin baggage.
Opening post
Very nice cases made by Samsonite. Excellent price, cheapest I could find by a large gap.
