So so cheap! Sold out online but were available in store from today. I went in and got some. You get 2 chairs (black or white) for £39.99.
In John Lewis for ONE chair very similar is £339 ( http://www.johnlewis.com/vitra-eames-dsw-43cm-side-chair/p2269600?colour=Cream%20/%20Black%20Maple )
People pay a premium to sit on polypropylene, probably about as comfortable as the dining hall chairs from your school days. But guess it's hot compared to what the likes if john John Lewis charge for similarly uncomfortable chairs.

we have the knock off ebay ones in an assortment of colours in our Kitchen. 2 years later they are all still as good as new. still not the correct type of chair for a cafe as rocking back on them would ruin them quickly.

You can't compare the John Lewis chairs to these. The John Lewis ones look much better and are more comfortable - maybe not £300 more comfortable but they are a much higher quality product.
The Aldi ones, and others at similar prices, are cheap Eames knock offs. I have some from Asda that are exactly the same. The seats are polypropylene like school chairs. You have to keep tightening the screws. They are fine for the money but nothing like the JL ones.
You can tell a genuine Eames chair by looking underneath. The company with the copyright is based in Germany and their name (which I can't immediately recall) is underneath the seat. Some McDonalds use the metal version of these chairs.

Thanks OP. Just picked these up in Feltham store, around 10 boxes remaining. 3 year guarantee
I have these cheap chairs in my coffee shop and they don't withstand lots of weight. The metal framework bends really easily. Just a heads up.

Dam I wish we had an Aldi in Northern Ireland! These look like designer chairs that usually cost a small fortune. Heat given
