I absolutely adore my slow cooker and prepare scintillatingly delicious meals for my family with it at least once a year.

I've got a slow cooker....its huge, takes ages to warm up, and needs cleaning frequently. Also, you need to put a lot of effort into it the day before to get any joy out of it the next day..... But enough about my Mrs.

Does it require any qualifications or exams to use? Can amateur prepare family dinner with this professional appliance, or will I face a fine and potential court case for operating it without a valid license and background checks?

I'd really like to know as I'm tempted to buy this for its simplicity. My current slow cooker is designed with complexity in mind and the cooking procedure could intimidate Boeing 737 pre-flight avionics tests, you can imagine how difficult it is for non-professionals like me. And don't get me started on the performance, this damn thing takes 4 hours to prepare a decent chilli....

It's great! But it's massive! If you cook only for 4 it's too big for you - 3l would be enough.
Last time this was in offer in Aldi I've sent my hubby for it (after he had broke my 3l one) and when he came back I wasn't pleased

We could start a band, let me just find that Yamaha keyboard I bought 6 or 7 years ago. I'll bring the ice cream maker for some dessert afterwards.

Good price. The a*#e always falls out of the slow cooker market in the summer. Buy! buy! buy! If you don't there will be much regret when the leaves turn colour and the nights draw in.

Some stores also still have the "half-and-half" pot for sale that fits in this (replaces the pot you get with it.)
