Thought I'll post this in case anyone is interested in getting some strawberries at this time of year, seems like good value for a pack of 400g compare to other supermarket strawberries.

phone customer services and complain. they'll probably send you a voucher as an apology. That's the way the company works.

Anyone else noticed the texture of supermarket strawberries the last few years. They taste crunchy to me and the core is sponge like in texture. Both Spanish and British ones see to lack any juice.

What is it with Spanish strawberries and the white ring around the top?
English/British strawberries never have this.

Very best strawbs come from Frodsham near Chester or a place whose name I've forgotten near Blackpool....Heaven in a dish!

Honestly.. Got these the other day. The same evening I went to cut them and they were soggy, moldy and had no taste. Yes they are cheap. It's the same with tesco ones. I think the British season starts in end of June. They will be better then.

I made the mistake of buying ASDA stawberrys and raspberrys a month ago.
Totally tasteless Spanish crap - the raspberrys looked perfect.

Not a fan of Spanish strawbs, good price but I'll wait for British (hopefully Hereford).
