I am not denying but a bit difficult to believe realistically that the cigarette lighter port can supply 5.2A power....

It's hard enough to get a decent charge out of a one port car adapter, never mind 3.
Are these safe? I am worried about it overheating or something....
I see the Anker ones have all sorts of protection circuits built in.
Is is worth getting something like an Anker one?

I recently bought one from Amazon a cheap chinese one, with two USB slots labelled as 2.4A and 1A, I got a max charging rate of 830mA from the 2.4A USB slot and 600mA from the 1A USB socket, some devices require 2A or more to fast charge however I've never seen any device draw more than 1Amp, I'm not an engineer so I can't given a definitive reason why, I suspect the higher rated outputs have fast charging circuits. So far my car hasn't gone on fire.
