Been scouting for a monitor over the weekend. Wondering what to buy seeing IPS, WHQD,LED, LCD 4K not 4K ones with speakers ones not and saw this advertised previously with SCAN with the guide price of £300 ish it is now £431.99 but and more at other places except BT.Shop. Bargain I thought and brought. Could anyone of done any better?

Can someone give me advice... I noticed people going on about getting 60hz from I only get this at 1080p settings when I go full throttle on resolution it goes down to 30hz with no option to tinker with. I see I have got a mini display port socket in my graphics card and one in back of monitor. Will this give me 60hz and can I use the one pcworld are selling or a better one to give full 60hz output?
Update: Just gone into AMD Radeon settings and change my frame rate target to 60fps am I doing the right thing?

I bought this from eBay when they had £50 discount for all purchases for £250 a month ago. It's a beautiful monitor and I have no power issues. Giving me [email protected] with my 2015 macbook pro. Some light bleed from the corners on dark images but hopefully that'll get better over time.

FYI, John Lewis won't price match as BT Shop is an online only retailer. They need to have physical stores for John Lewis to consider them as competitors. I already tried and failed.

Thank you. Been sort of eyeing up this monitor for a while, along with some others, disappointed to have missed out in the past. Bagged it this time  Much appreciated.

That is a good deal - I really don't understand why anybody would still work seriously on a Full HD monitor.
Now the problem with 4k in this size is that the resolution is much higher, but there is very little additional space. That is good for reading and for technical drawings, but not necessarily for work with lots of different windows (I often have to juggle 2, 3 or even 4).
A 4k TV is an interesting alternative - you can get quite nice ones around 40" for under 300 pounds. But then you don't actually get a higher resolution, just more space.
Conclusion: it seems I really need a 50" 8k screen! Maybe in a few years...

Corner snapping/tilling really helps with this, sort your shortcuts.
other people will just use scaling so everything is roughly the same size, just better detail.
I prefer the space though, even if its tiny.

Topcashback (2.1% if it counts as computing, 4.2% if it's sound & vision) will cover that

I've been happy with my non-IPS 4ks - AOC 28" from Amazon warehouse for £270, refurbished one of the same for £220 I think and a 40" philips for £285 secondhand.

Have you had any power issues ? Problems switching input's?
All is good. Easy to change settings. Although did not need to.Came straight out the box and detected on Windows 10 the make of monitor in full 4k setting. No issues whatsoever

Cheers. Had a friend who had nothing but trouble with this monitor and that's why I stayed away. Might go for it

It has arrived, been unpacked and plugged in. I love it. I wanted to buy this due to the fact it had already been advertised on hukd with scan however long ago but @£300 then to google scan and see its now £430 going up to as much as £550 from John Lewis. So when I saw it at the BTShop for £305 I could not resist. Out the box it's very easy to set up. It has built in speakers which are ok for everyday use. However I do like to run optical output to my amp in 7.1 surround sound through cyberlink powerdvd software. It was either this or a new tv and seeing as the 49" Sony 4k had just gone out of stock from AO.com.
Yet to play a game on it yet but have done some 4k testing and partly watched Fury Road in 4k upscaling. I am extremely happy with it and anyone in the market to burn £300 on a 4k monitor it is well worth every penny. 2nd choice spend more money on a asus or get one from south Korea but be patient to wait for delivery

So it still flickers, only a bit less? Not really flicker-less then, I hate PWM screens.

Bought this from Scan, love it, but be warned that you won't be able to go back to 1080p afterwards!

Fantastic price and beautiful looking, but according to Amazon these suffer from power supply issues where the screen won't turn on unless you keep replugging it or something. Hopefully Acer has fixed that issue with them since.
Tempted to replace my QNIX with it. Fed up with the fuglyness of it
