Is that from your experience?
I've had ID for a year now, and the reception has been excellent, better than the G/F's O2 where she doesn't get any reception at her rented home address in a popular area of Nott's and she didn't get any on a week end trip to Wales, where as I do/did on ID.
In terms of reports about the call centre, I've only had to call once (to end my current contract, which is now coming to an end), it was answered quickly, they couldn't just put me on a cheaper tariff, or swap my number to one, you have to leave their network and come back on the new tariff, which is a pain). On the whole, I've not had to call them until now because the ID app has all the info you need, so don't be put off.

11 May 16#67
It depends on what you need.
iD - if you don't need more than 250mins and can be benefitted from the rollover feature (if9 that applies to this plan).
life mobile - if you need more than 250 mins a month (they offer 1000mins) and need to tether. It's £0.95 more expensive than iD.

11 May 16#66
Does that mean if (highly unlikely) I didn't use any of the 1.5Gb one month and it would be rolled over to the next, and I'll have 3Gb to use in the following month? That's a lot of data for £5!
I just joined life mobile last month which gives me 1gb and is twther-able, plus 1000 mins, which i like. I don't think iD lets you tether, which is the deal breaker for me.
have some hear in any case.

My O2 contract was up for renewal, but I couldn't get a decent retention offer first time round so I asked for my PAC and was going to move to this. But I done an online chat shortly after and the O2 advisor offered me: sim only deal 200mins, 250GB data, unlimited txts on a 12mth contract PLUS I get to keep my bolt ons from my current contract so I also get unlimited landline calls and unlimited weekend calls for £5.50 per month. Good deal so will be staying and not jumping.

Nope, you can not keep that. The only way to keep that if you ask them giving a PAC code to transfer your number to a different provider and 48 hrs later you can port back to ID.

Already having one contract from ID a while ago for my son.
Now tried to move remaining two for myself and my wife from Three (as it's constantly getting worse and worse), so added two more to basket and...
Interesting business model
EDIT:
Now it's getting funny. Applied for two sims, on top of one I had before in my name.
First order has been cancelled because I allegedly failed credit check, and then another order has gone through.
So I'm in the same time eligible and not eligible to be an ID Mobile client. How interesting is that?

short answer is NO.
ID do not allow you to port nmbers already on their network. You would need an in-between SIM first.
Port out to a PAYG sim with another network, then port back into your new ID Sim.
Also, you cannot just upgrade your existing plan. ID simply do not offer this facility either.
Which means a 30 day notice period to cancel your existing plan
(with another months cost).

I'm on ID mobile (£5 - 1GB data, calls and texts) and just called them about getting the extra data which isn't easy if you want to keep your number as they 'can't port from ID to ID' so I'd need to:
- cancel my current ID contract which takes one month (like giving them one month's notice)
- request a PAC from them any time within the final month (PAC codes last for 30 days)
- switch my number to another provider just before the last day (I have an old O2 sim which I'll transfer the number to)
- join ID mobile with this new deal (£5 for 1.5GB data, calls and texts)
- request a PAC from the provider I switched my previous number to (in my case O2)
- transfer number to new ID account
Not sure I can be bothered to do this but I do have an old SIM knocking about so I might.
I've been with ID for two months, switched from GiffGaff and had no problems. Signal is marginally better where I am, the app is good which tells you what you've got left, there's a cap of £5 so you can't go majorly over your set tariff and tethering works fine.. Only had one cause to call them which was about this deal today and they answered pretty quickly.

In other words, they can't be bothered to help you so instead make you jump through hoops instead of just transferring you to the same plan with a different special offer. I bet there is no guarantee that when you port the number back to them that the offer will still be available. I was going to ring them this afternoon but not going to be bothered.
Been with them 6 months on their £5 deal. Initial set up of the online account and registering their app was a pain and took a couple of calls however since then I've had no issues. Uses 3 network but occasionally switches to EE.
