Generally poor all round. The food is basic at best and I wouldn't like to guess the origins of the "beef". Our local (beekeeper, notts) used to be bearable for a cheap meal as the kids used to go and play for free in the play area whilst we waited for our meals (good job as we waited over one and a half hours on one occasion). On our last visit we found you now have to wait to be seated (the guy behind the bar kept shouting across to us to just wait 5 minutes someone will be coming....... we could see several unreserved tables from where we were stood). After 15 minutes we got shown our table (no choice......2 cheap, wobbly tables pushed together; which trapped our kids fingers and would have spilt our drinks.....if anyone had ever come to take our order). After a further 15 minutes and no one came we just gave up and left.
Any prospective new owners should be able to buy the place up cheap pretty soon.....unless they make BIG changes.
Ps. The offers they have can't be combined with any vouchers or Tesco rewards....not clear on their website or in the restaurant BUT you will be told when its too late and about to settle the bill!

yes marty we found the same there were loads of (non-reserved) tables but none for 2 people and the gestapo on the new silly desk said there was 3a 0 min wait for a table!!! lol! We said we'd go to the green king across the road as did several others. It's a downmarket pubchain not a restaurant! haven't been back. Also it's near about 5 other pubs/restaurants!!! but ta op anyway

Don't know why everyone is expecting a gourmet chain, it's Mc Donald's with a playground. Keeps the kids happy and my purse, can't argue with that. Thanks op
