Stay well clear of avoidafone if you know what's good for you.Without doubt the worst network for customer service and billing issues and losing customers numbers.Would rather have no network then these clowns.Nicw to see them in the news slated as worst customer service as they deserve it for the way they treat people and how their still in business I'll never know.

In terms of coverage I thought Voda were the best? I'm with Three and I can't complain about customer service and value, but there don't half seem to be a lot of not spots.

Don't understand the grief VF get, I've been a customer for 10 years - never any issues. And customer services are like most big companies - a little long winded but they get there in the end

I've used them twice (their 50GB promotion) with no problem, even bought my phone from them. Worst for me so far are Carphone warehouse, cancelled my contract and they took money out of my account for another 2 months. It took a while to sort it out, even then they only refunded 90% of what they took.

I did the mobiles.co.uk version of this last year with 10 gig data. Brilliant deal as I also got Spotify which I have grown to love. The deal was 27 quid a month but you claim back 17 pound a month through cash back, I received my last check last week.

Because of the Spotify deal you get with Vodafone I stayed and locked in for a further twelve months with unlimited text and calls plus 6 gb data for £13.50 a month and I get Spotify.

Can the contract be capped for giving to kids - that's the usual con with vodafone ?

Doesn't look like it includes using your inclusive minutes /texts /data abroad like they recently advertised, think that's their Red plans. Shame, good deal though for the data allowance

True story of how incompetent Vodafone are
Recently bought myself an iPhone so needed a nano sim as my current sim is micro
U ld think it ll be few seconds and I am swapped over to a nano SIM card yet a month later 3 store visits to 2 different Vodafone story, 7 calls average 45-55 mins each and I am still no further into the nano sim. So anyone who think Vodafone are wonderful listen to this
I call first call to customer service to simply get the nano sim but after going round the houses pressing 1 pressings 5 choosing from endless menus and waiting 17 mins to speak to a human being I get told either I was 5 days, yes that's 5 days for them to send a nano sim or I pop into a Vodafone store. So I opted to Vodafone store went in to the lovely useless people in Islington Vodafone. First of all I waited over half an hour in a queue then the guy spent 20 mins asking all sorts of questions and then comes up with my account sim not set up correctly I need to go back and call customer services as he cant do, so I am back home again in the long queue and 24 mins later after choosing 100
Different options I speak to a lady who tries to send me back to the store convincing me they can 100% do it, yet I insisted she sent the thing in the post so she promised me it will be with me next day, I am thinking amazing yet next day and the day after and the day after have come and gone while I wait eagerly for the post man like a teenager in love waiting for his date. Called again useless Vodafone and the guy assures me its sent but it takes 3-5
Working days not next day Del as the lady said and I need to be patient. Fair enough so I go back to my spot next to the front door waiting for the post man day in day out its not a week I can again this time another guy tells me I ll not receive it because the original lady didn't put the sim order correctly and said he can do it but it ll take 5 working days, so I agreed to go to Vodafone store again, this time they said they can give me a nano sim but I need to call customer service to activate it so I took the sim from them and called customer service another lady on the phone answers to tell me they can't activate cards picked up from the store as in Vodafone customer service can not activate Vodafone SIM cards how strange is that then I ask for a manager another 18 mins she comes back to tell me the useless manager said he can't tell me any different than what she told me and so on by which time my phone was running out of the battery my head friend up from being over an hour mostly on hold listening to music so I called back again and this time another guy said he can't switch the sim even though it was picked up in store but it takes Upto 72 hours that's come and gone no switching happened back again and asked for them to try to send a nano sim directly from cust services I am writing this and I am still sat in my fav spot next to the front door waiting for the post man

I took out a similar deal with these back in November. Bought it as a nano sim for iPhone. No service issues and cashback claim process has been easy, they give you 60 days to claim and the option to upload bills online rather than post. Cheques were sent within a week.

You'd think so, but that's not always the case.
I had a very bad experience with e2save. I would strongly advise others to avoid them.
Rums123
25 May 16 #29
the t&c says the bill has to be eexact same address and mobile number etc, what happens when you port over your old number? does that cause problems when claiming the cashback?
wildecat
25 May 16 #30
If you need Vodafone then try Talkmobile
They have 2GB for £7.50 & 4GB for £10 plus up to £49 cashback from TCB / Quidco.

No there is an option on the e2save website to change the number that will appear on the bill. I've used it myself in the exact same circumstance.

I strongly advice any member to stay well away from vodafone
I had a contract with them , at the renewal time they offered me 2 lines for a good price with 2 phones ( luckily it was via a web chat so i had evidence ) . i turned up to be all just talk they billed me 4 times the price of the line and only sent me 1 phone
it took me almost 3 months of every day calls to finally not hear from them any more.
i spent 6 hours non stop one day on the phone just to have that last idiot hang the phone on me
i had 3 trips to a street branch .
. that was the 2nd time i had problems with them the first one was with a sim only deal but i gave them a second chance and i regret it .

The irony is all this and the useless politicians and gov not interested in doing jack all to sort it
They pay no tax or an insult trivial of a tax they take our money yet don't employee our country fellow men instead they hire useless monkeys for peanuts else where who don't know their front from their back and they treat us like **** from a customer experience yet not a single politician would do anything about the likes of Vodafone Google Starbucks etc

Worth looking at the casback T&Cs often it's along the lines of.... you must post three months of bills to X address to arrive between 10:32 and 10:47 on the 4th day with the letter 'T' in it in the month after the summer equinox, along with the blood of a virgin and the right to your first born.

.... or something thereabouts

Steer clear of Vodafone, I had my number switched to PAYG 'by accident' with 14 months of contract left, no end of problems ever since! Eventually got put back on contract, now billed me £243.00 for early termination of contract! Lost count of the hours spent on live chat, phone, social media, eventually they have amended my bill but used up £64.40 credit I had on account to reduce the early termination fee!!
Just to add I have been with them for years and never had any major issues before but since March this year I have had no end of problems and false promises.

They are so incompetent I can't wait until my contract ends so I can leave.

Worst customer experience from a mobile network I have ever experienced. They took so long to port a number from a PAYG to a PAYM on the same network I needed to wait over 2 weeks and be escalated to the highest technical support. Absolutely useless customer service and I saved all my online chat as proof of how frustrating the conversations became. Even with my friend's employee friend's and family discount, I decided to go elsewhere because it still worked our better jumping ship. It's no wonder why Vodafone were voted worst customer experience - Avoid.

Absolutely not, I used to have a capped account with Vodafone for my son and because I renewed, for being a loyal returning customer, they repaid me by taking the cap off and didn't even bother telling me they had. Knew nothing about it until I got a huge bill through! I was livid! called them to have cap put back on and they refused claiming they no longer did this. By this time I was locked into another 18 month contract with no get out. As soon as this account ran it's life I closed and and I am doing the same with my account next month and they can shove their company. This was after being a loyal customer for 10 years. The customer service is absolutely disgraceful and they don't give a **** about the way they speak to you either! Avoid Vodafone like the plague seriously, I speak from experience.

Guys, also steer clear of their current '30 days to love or to leave us' promo.

I signed up to this to get a second sim when I was waiting for my new Fibre net to be set up and when I asked my cousin who happens to be a manager at Vodafone, he recommended to get a second sim which can be tethered from a phone or mobile wifi device.

I sign up, then afterwards a week after when I try to cancel - they tell me on the phone they will still charge me for the month for the second sim, even though the promo mentions '30 days to love or leave us'. I interpreted that as first month is free, if you don't want to stay with them then move on.

Only to discover a week or so after, I'm charged nearly £30 via direct debit that I had to dispute and got back the money thankfully.

But yea, Vodafone are a pain in the a** - I'm still with them after they discounted my monthly bill to £22 from £32 and they will charge full price of £40 when I renew with them unless I threaten to leave them again like last year.

When you join, they'll send you an email like this:
To claim your Cashback please submit the following bills within 60 days of the date on the bill;

Feb 2016
Apr 2016
Jun 2016
Aug 2016
Oct 2016

You then set yourself a reminder. When it's time to claim, download your Vodafone bill to your computer. Then log into the my account section on e2save.
Upload your bill from your computer to the e2save website.
Receive email confirmation saying your cheque will be with you in 8 weeks. However my cheques have been coming through in a week.

When I joined I ported my number from o2. After a week or so, I logged into the my account section on e2save and clicked on a button that said, click here to change the number we hold for cashback claims. All went ok.

They messed up my account in pretty much the same way and then charged me for early termination, even though it was their mistake.
They also messed up my sisters account after she did live chat to cancel a dongle she had, they cancelled her phone instead, and also billed her for early termination.
Mine is allegedly sorted now but I wont be sure until my next bill generates.
They are beyond useless.........
adamspencer95
25 May 16 #50
so you expect them to give you a free month of service for you to then cancel? yeah right... you'll always have to pay for the services you receive, that's your mistake for not understanding

For those looking for more data, there's an offer on MOBILES.CO.UK for effectively £11p/m for 10GB data

http://www.mobiles.co.uk/vodafone-vodafone-pay-monthly-nano-sim.html?tid=TD1OMAPR16&gid=DPLR1537663
gravy_davey
26 May 16 #55
Then that would be listed a FREE sample. Vodafone are not offering FREE trial, merely a trail to see if the service they provide suits your needs.

If it were free everyone and their cat would be signing up then canceling at the end of the month.
Mentos
26 May 16 #56
Can I ask when you got that retention deal? And did you call them or did they call you can offer it?

We're essentially on the same contract which is due to end in a month. The cost worked out equivalent with Cashback and my wifes NHS discount. As you say Spotify makes it a very good deal (if you would use it anyway). So going to call and try to get a retention deal.
jamdog30
26 May 16 #57
I just went through to retentions and used one of the cheap sim only contracts with some decent minutes internet deal as a bargaining tool and they offered me this deal. Just stand your ground, but you have to do it a little last minute.
