Chapatti Flour? is it only for Capatti? or can you use it for baking anything?

There's other uses, you can make bread with it for example.

I don't know this brand but most of then are a light brown wheat flour and work fine for pizza bases and breads.
Should be fine for anything other than light cakes and pastries where white flour is preferable.

the fine one is exactly like flour you would use for baking

Certified halal! Although such poor quality that anything else is better quality than this.

I'm sorry.. but if you haven't tried this.. don't knock it.
Ive used many brands of chappati flour .. elephant aata medium was our standard.. but this flour is much better than it. dough and Roti's made from it are far better.
and at the price its a steal.. but even if its not.. I would still buy this particular aata (flour) over any others

My wife likes this brand as well. Shame that it isn't available in the store near our home

The quality is fine. It's no worse than any of the more expensive brands.

I don't have a shop. However, I eat three chapattis twice a day. This flour has too much 'Maida' in it. An Urdu term which means fine white flour which has less protein in it than normal white flour. The flour blend in these products affect the texture and stability of breads and chapattis made from it. In my humble experience this flour makes the chapattis too chewy in texture and although they don't break in your hand the binding is not great either. Try other brands like Laila, Elephant Attached and/or medium flours that are mixed with brown flour. These may be slightly more expensive but are blended with much better quality flour and not cheap maida.

We use to use elephant atta but couldn't tell the difference when we gave this a try. Mum even said it was a lot more medium than the elephant atta

It's a great flour, better than these expensive brands. Batista, if your chapattis are turning out chewy, it means your not binding the dough correctly. Flour, a table spoon of oil and hot water. Not cold water how most people make it.

thanks, but it's asiandiscount whose chapattis are turning out chewy

I have used this and I think it's sawdust.
And u don't really need hot water!

It's not the best nor is it the worst. I find if you sieve the flour beforehand, the chapatti's turn out really nice. At this price point it's excellent value and that extra chore to sieve is not so bad.
