Great deal for anyone who wants to start gaming in 1440p or consider buying VR headest.
It seems to be the lowest price ever.
Engineered to game, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 980 Ti AMP! is flush with power to maximize performance. The latest graphics card in the Maxwell family electrifies every 4K scenery down to the last pixel. Get the edge with 6GB of memory and 2816 pulsating cores that jolt your game to life while IceStorm and Carbon ExoArmor keep the noise low while enhancing thermal cooling and durability. Push the limit and let the marvel of engineering lead the way.
It's only £458 if you have a card which doesn't charge for foreign currency transactions, if you use Amazon's own currency converter, which is the option available to everyone, it ends up being £485. All figures are obviously subject to change with fluctuations in the Euro to GBP exchange rate.

Hmm I wouldn't call them great but they are adequate. Build quality is not as high as the high end brands but it will still do the job

Beast of a card and £100 less than anywhere else. But how will performance per pound compare to the new cards coming this summer?

Exactly, they make it sound in some previews that the 1070 might get close to this. Only the GDDR5X/HBM memory is of any interest though and some of the leaks I've heard point the 1080 and above having that.

Well of course, though I would usually choose a model with 3 years coverage so anything extra is simply a bonus.
I wonder what they would offer to replace it with in five years :stuck_out_tongue:

I would say that Asus, Gigabyte and MSI are the high end brands which make both NVIDIA and AMD cards, whilst EVGA and Sapphire are high end brands which make only NVIDIA and AMD cards respectively.
That said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with companies such as Zotac, especially when they're offering a 5 year warranty for peace of mind.

Well apparently Sapphire and Zotac are the same company since both are owned by PC Partner Ltd. Sapphire is for their brand making AMD cards and Zotac for their NVIDIA cards.
So if you trust that Sapphire is a high-end company, you should technically also trust that Zotac is a high-end company too really.

I'm aware, but being owned by the same company doesn't necessarily make two brands equal. For example, Bentley and Skoda are both owned by VAG, but one is a significantly more premium product than the other.
I don't know if Sapphire cards are actually produced to a higher standard than Zotac cards, even if they are, the car manufacurer example is clearly more extreme. However, my point still stands.

Regardless of your personal view on the qaulity of those games, it does not hide the fact what I say is real. There are many people who will like these games and others arriving soon where the 390x will perform equally as well.
Of you want to pay more for inferior products then good for you.
Other people here will appreciate the facts and possibly an opportunity to save some cash on a GPU with better potential and Performance.

How about you stop using that word and start using your opinion?
Sure, 5 games cherry picked. But what about the other 10,000 games?
Stop with the dishonesty. The 980ti beats the 390x overall. The 390x beats the Fury X overall.
There is so much evidence online of this. It isn't subjective. You can't have an opinion that is counter to presentable facts.
Are you really unable to comprehend what the word 'new '.
Sure if people want OLD games the 980Ti is fine.
If they want best perfromance on NEW games - AMD is the way to go.
Just because you do not wish to beleieve benchmarks of proof, does not mean they are not FACTS

Current games that conform to my analysis is a glimpse of what's to come. Do you want to buy a GPU that will run competently regardless (Nvidia) or one that has been proven to offer exceptional performance boost in some DX12 games ALREADY?
To many consumers, unless loyal to a particular brand, it's a no brainer.
Also, and this will be a total bonus in my opinion, new upcoming AMD gpus apparently have some sort of hardware implemented that takes care of DX11 performance gains too. So we may well see all DX11 games gain extra boost here too.

you talk like amd "NEW" upcoming amd, i think ive heard similar story while ago when amd 300 series was announced, which turned out was just a rebranded 290x with added memory and minor clock tweaks! Performance wise 390x could be on par with 980 not 980ti unless you looking at 980ti reference model which is on par with aftermarket 980 due to core clock which is around 200mhz lower then on any afermarket 980ti

If all DX12 games released for the PC (that have a console version) are ported from the X1, we might see gains like this for most games.
I doubt AMD has sorted out the CPU overhead problem with DX11. I believe it's by design. Their drivers/hardware doesn't support multi-threaded DX11, if they get round that somehow, it would be great.
