Was looking at deal posted here on another tyre and came across this at a cheaper price and imo a good quality tyre at a good price.

It's automatically generated by the website - nothing to do with the deal poster and presumably just shows up on posts tagged with 'halfords' or whatever.
It's £164.23 non fitted price, my local garage charges £10 for fitting full set, so it's still cheaper

What? £10 for fitting and balancing 4 tyres, if find that hard to believe. Let people know this garage it seems amazing.

Don't know the name, but it's London NW10 - google it and you'll find out. £5 per tyre, £10 for 4.

Wouldn't go anywhere near halfords again for their tyres.
Bought some online from their website. Went down the next week to get them fitting at the time and date that was arranged, got there for them to say they didn't receive them on the morning delivery so can't fit anything. Didn't get a phone call or email to tell the there was a problem. Completely washed journey.
Said I had to wait another week to get them in.
Wouldn't go anywhere near them again now.

At least they told you they didnt have any, last time I went to Halfords they fitted some cheapo ditch finders because they didnt have the ones I ordered. It was a dark winter night and after coming back from the supermarket across the road I didn't check they had actually put the right tyres on. Had to fight with their head office just to get them to agree to putting the brand on that I had paid for. No compensation for the fuel and time (50 mile round trip).
They are probably an odd size - supply and demand. I pay a lot less for the bigger 17s on my current car then the 16s on the car before it.

had exactly the same problem three years ago but I told them to do something about it because it was their fault. I ordered falkon but they then fitted more expensive GoodYear efficient grip in the same price (it was £70/corner for Falkon at that time).
Unfortunately the discount code in the opening post is invalid - firstly it is for camping gear and secondly none of the codes work on Halfords Autocentre website, just the main Halfords website.

Can anyone explain why I'm paying more for much, much smaller tyres?

I do shop around and my tyres are always so expensive. I do research and there aren't many decent tyres for my car. I don't have loads of money otherwise I wouldn't be on hotukdeals. I do care otherwise I wouldn't have asked that question
Cheers mate.

as others said probably non standard tyres, I have a friend with a micra Chic edition, smaller wheels than mine, Michelin don't even make tyres for that size and budgets are close to the price a Michelin tyre costs for the 'standard' 17' wheels on mine...
there's not much I envy about people that own classic mini's, but tyre price is one of the things I do envy...

I've got a Ford Fiesta, a very popular car. All the top tyre brands do make tyres for them but they all have low ratings.

Halfords annoy me with the way you need to order online and book a fitting appointment - if you just call in to buy a tyre, as I did, they're much more expensive for same tyre.

Bit of a logic fail there. Have you seen how many people on here post things like 2 grand pushbikes that are a "great bargain", or contract hire plans for Mercedes, BMWs or big Audis? Everybody loves a bargain... :stuck_out_tongue:
Seriously, if your question was genuine and you want help maybe a bit more information?

I swear English people are getting richer. In my little town today I saw a Lamborghini huracan with the licence plate 'Weapon'. I'm also seeing brand new Mercedes including a C63 Brabus edition, Nissan GTRs, and lots and lots and lots and lots of porches. Even the neighbours have a Golf R and Focus Rs.
And then there's me in my little fiesta with crappy tyres from the previous owner. I need to win the lottery or something.

the 'limited' edition fiesta's I believe have a bizarre tyre size, I work in a garage and have noticed some very popular cars that have the more expensive wheels are near impossible to get sensible tyre prices, although if you have standard wheels on it and its not an ST i'm surprised if your having difficulty
