OK I have tried this morning again. Honestly don't know of there fake or not, they don't sound good anyway and of it was any other seller I would be returning for a refund. These should have clearly failed any QC... There is a lot of interference/ noise whenever the Jack is only slightly brushed.

Anyway looking on gearbest it seems I have to return at my expense for faulty items? And PayPal doesn't support either? Sorely tempted to claim I didn't receive as this policy is surely borderline illegal ( at least within the UK)

Regardless it's a cheap lesson to never order from gearbest again. ( BTW I have ordered a plenty from aliexpress, as well as Ali baba and fast tech amongst others... I think gear best is just particularly bad with there pretty shady policies)

received today and not very impressed. I'm no audiophle but some of the range is a bit tinny. Wiring jack aswell like poster above gives interference when touched. And the tiny qr code just bring me to a mi page not in english. May try google translate later.

Is Bang Good a certified Xiaomi reseller?

Mine turned up today, great sound from them but unfortunately when the lead is moved near the jack the right ear cuts out, must be a wiring problem and think they'll be none working pretty soon :disappointed:

Got mine yesterday, they fail the wiring test here http://www.audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.php showing that the drivers are wired out of phase.

Discount code wouldn't work for me. It was boosting the price up instead of reducing it. Still a pretty good deal though.

My Hybrids are from Gearbest are the real deal, brilliant sound quality.

They're not a official xiaomi sellers, but according to the official Xiaomi forums they sell legitimate products.
I've seen some Xiaomi products purchased from their site and they've been 100% legit.

xiaomi goods have a scratch to view serial number or qr code to check on their website to verify genuine goods. if these are not then you should be able to get your money back , Banggood and Gearbest both usually sell genuine , I've mostly used banggood and had great service

I ordered the Piston 3's about a month back, I got mine within a 7 - 10 days. They are the real deal, worth the money for the price and would consider buying again the next time I need another set. Worth a punt for the money...

I received mine earlier and it pretty much ticks all the checkboxes of a fake as shown in the youtube video. It doesn't even have the nice little display box but I believe that's reserved for the Piston 3 model.

If it is a fake, then somehow they manage to replicate the sound quality of more expensive earphones so quite satisfied with what I paid for them. Might load on more as they even cheaper now.:smile:

They are real. And they easily compete with £40-£50 earphones. Possibly the sub £100.

Some things to note:
1. Pic shown in the deal are of the Piston 3 earphones, not the older original Piston which had an metal casing.
2. Link is for the Piston Starter edition, which are the newer, cheaper versions of the Piston 3 with inferior build quality

Surely these are not the original pistons? looks like the Piston 3 design to me? I've got both the Piston 3 and Piston 3 Youth Editions. Decent head phones for the money. Youth editions sounded identical really but were half the price. Flat cables helped tangling problems somewhat.

I found these to be very good and not too bass heavy. The seal around the ear us particularly good. Better than anything you'll get for this price back here.

I own 2 pair of these. They aren't the greatest, they lack some bass and the treble can be overpowering but overall not too shabby.
