Picked mine up today. Most places selling this for £29.99 so thought I'd put this up for anyone looking for one like myself. Not only does it have two programmable buttons brilliant for people like myself who want a quick snap shot or video but if your stuck with the original xbox one controller like me without the jack you can buy this instead of the plain old adapter for about the same price!! But way more useful. Also comes with a headset included.

Could someone please explain the issues with the 360 headset and xbox one controller? I bought a simple 2.5mm to 3.5mm Jack convertor and theres no mic function. What is so special about this item or the standard adapter?

Don't forget Smyths sell brand new controllers which include the 3.5mm socket anyway for £31. For some that will be a better deal.

Does the headphone jack just carry chat or does stereo game/ AV get passed through to a stereo headset?

Had a little look on mine although the pad does show the ability to adjust chat and game volume separate on the fly I haven't yet been able to get game sound through it so I'm not completely sure on this

AV also gets passed through, the adapter gives you button controls over both volumes.
