Travel between the worlds of light and dark to save the land of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for Wii U.
This definitive edition of the beloved adventure game for Nintendo GameCube and Wii features revitalised visuals that will further immerse players in its stunning landscapes and epic story.
You play as Link, a farm hand who is chosen by the gods to free the kingdom of Hyrule from the clutches of the King of Shadows, Zant, who has cursed the land with a perpetual twilight. To help him take on this new menace and break the curse that has transformed him into a wolf, Link will team up with the mysterious and mischievous Midna, a creature from a corrupted dimension called the Twilight Realm.
Travel to the far corners of Hyrule, exploring bustling villages, barren deserts and the Twilight Realm itself to seek out the powers to drive away the darkness. Overcome deadly enemies with your trusty sword and shield, attack and evade foes with cunning manoeuvres, and take on tricky puzzles with handy items like the Slingshot and the Gale Boomerang. Traverse treacherous lands on foot or by summoning your loyal steed Epona, whether to simply explore that vast landscape or engage in tense combat on horseback! Delve deep into dangerous dungeons, where threats can lurk around every corner and enormous bosses await.

£20 is my limit for remakes/re-releases, but damn if this isn't tempting. Favourite Zelda game.

Bit of a gamble given they appear to be rolling the NX out next year. If you look at the Gamecube and the Wii they are very hit and miss for later titles becoming Player's Choice / Nintendo Selects releases. Big ones missed include Zelda Skyward Sword on the Wii and Twilight Princess on the Cube, as well as plenty of others.

tempting me to go and buy a Wii U tbh, played this on the original Wii years ago and is honestly still one of my favourite games to date. anyone got any cheap WiiU bundles they know of? haha :sunglasses:

Cheapest bundles in recent months have all been around the £180-£200 mark I'm afraid

Great price, so tempted but too much of a backlog to even think about buying this. Same goes for Ratchet and Clank :disappointed:

I really enjoyed playing it with the Wii controls and have held off on this because it's gamepad only. So I'm wondering what people who have played on Wii and Wii U make of the experience on Wii U?

A solid HD remake. The touch screen works pretty well for the usual map functions and so on.
I'm no fan of the Wii U controller but in this case I think it's pretty good.

Couldn't play it on the Wii because of the motion controls. Loved it on the Wii U and rate it one of the best gaming experiences in a long time. It is a quality game. Get it.

I have the GameCube original and it played great. I believe it was converted to Wii practically last minute so was originally designed with a game pad in mind. It only really affected minor things and with the game pad versions everything is the right way around and you can have more items instead of just one on the B button.
Skyward sword was much better for motion control as it was designed with the Wii in mind and had much greater accuracy. If I remember right, in TP wiggling the control was just the same as pressing a button.

Assume you can use pro controller if you prefer not to use gamepad?

Weakest 3D Zelda game.
forced myself to play and beat it on Wii.
but I think £24.95 is not too bad.

If I had 'forced' myself to play a game I would probably think £25 is a very bad price.
Unless of course you're exaggerating.

Yeah it took me 54 hours! Such a great experience. I owned it on the wii, but never touched it. Glad I picked it up, as I do love my zelda.. have thought about chopping it in at cex but I do want to go and do some clean up, collect all of the stamps :-)
