Fox McCloud returns with Falco, Peppy and Slippy to save the Lylat system in this action-packed deep space dogfighting adventure.
Using the Wii U GamePad controller and the TV together creates a unique interface that allows players to experience the game with two different viewpoints within the Arwing – aim and shoot enemies in one direction while flying in another. This frees up the TV for a more cinematic flight experience. Then, pilot the Arwing with its new Walker transformation, along with the new Gyrowing and the Landmaster Tank, to traverse interplanetary terrain.
Multiple paths branch out to give players plenty of places to explore, and each route gives them a completely different experience and unique challenges. Players will notice their skills get better and better over time, as they become top-notch pilots.
In two-player mode, one player can fly the Arwing while the other player aims and shoots.

I really, really hope you have played the game enough - if at all - to comment on the controls, but, I HIGHLY doubt you have and are just another nearsighted troll...pity.

Yeah bad controls are a breath of fresh air. Too many games with good controls out there, gets a bit boring.

I can only go off my experience, but talk of control 'issues' have been exaggerated greatly. I've only been able to spend roughly 2 hours with the game already, but I find the controls a breath of fresh air in what could so easily have been a rinse and repeat job akin Dark Souls, COD, etc.

Love the game reminds me a bit of Rogue Squadron . I personally find the controls great once you get used to them. Heat

Will this game be ported to the NX I wonder?

Not likely, its more likely there will be a game in the mould with a Star Fox level editor. That's the route Nintendo are taking with popular character titles on the NX.

Found out from Rimz that you can change views by hitting the '-' button. Could make a big difference to some still struggling with the controls.

From playing the training and first level only (limited gaming time due to parental responsibilities in comparison to the days of Lylat Wars), the motion controls didn't put me off as much as reviews suggest.
Yes it's not the best graphically, but so far it feels like a solid homage to/reboot of Lylat Wars.

Cheers. I think my confusion came because in the US it seems to be packaged in. Boo!

I just had a go with the gamepad and I can see that after a bit of play time I'll definitely get used to it and get better as I play more of it...it's like when Splatoon came out there were quite a few who didn't like the motion controls but ended up admitting its the best way to play it! I think people who complain about the motion controls with SFZ should play it with a open mind and push themselves to getting used to it and bettering themselves...but I think if you have someone else to play the campaign with it'll definitely be a much better experience completing the game...

Does this include star Fox guard? I was under the impression zero came with a download code for guard but not sure where I read that now

Only the first print edition comes with SF Guard and its on a disc. The solus version doesn't come with SF Guard, it can be purchased separately via the Nintendo eShop and its only available as a digital download unless you buy the first print edition and get it on a disc.

Clearly there are several who don't feel the controls are bad and play fine, well even, with them
sorry to hijack post but the internet won't tell me, do u have to have the Wii remote and attachment for the extra players on the Wii U, or can u use Xbox style controllers instead?? my boys both have the game pad but if they want to play together they can't as they can't figure out the nunchuck and Wii remote set up....u can buy pro controllers I know but do u still have to use the Wii bits??
thx
