'Tongue' and 'toilet' should never be used in the same sentence...

Its a custom toilet you put the hole in yourself to fit your bottom, so you get a nice custom fit, just make sure you sand it well as the splinters do hurt.

It is a lesser known fact that some people in poorer countries wipe their arises with whatever they can fins, normally stuff like corn cobs so a tongue and groove toilet seat, if reasonably priced, could serve as a useful implement for those with limited means.
It basically serves as a **** scraper integrated into the toilet.

Just a heads up on this... i had the plain version of this a little while back and it was so bad i had to go and replace it with one from Tesco as it kept going loose. There is a reason they are selling these at £1!! they are crap!
So, save yourself a quid and avoid possible injury from falling off the toilet by not buying this!

Same here. The seat itself is ok (for the price), but the fittings are useless. Won't stay tight for more than a day or two and ended up snapping within a couple of months. Still using the seat, but with new fittings and all is well.

Great find OP - heat added. I got 3 in the Caerphilly store - two were cream. Its The Bath Shop brand. They had others of the same brand and same price mark of £9.99 with writing on like "The Best Seat in the House" but I did not find out if they are also £1 each - might be - these were marked as wooden seats on the box but the T&G ones were not. However, from the weight and appearance, I think they are MDF as there are some minor imperfections which indicate that, and they have a high gloss finish. Standard fittings are either stainless steel or chrome, again it does not say. Most seat fittings loosen up sometime. Can't go for wrong for £1.
