Village hotel have done some rebranding and upperdeck now called Club, which advertises benefit of using leisure facilities

anyone know if pool/gym access is for all guests or those who upgrade to Club

You are aware that the hotel is some distance from Newcastle.

I actually phoned up the hotels and gave them dates from 18 June to 10 September and they found them for me. Brilliant. Yes, they said they don't mind. I bet a lot of people go out to the street and go back to the hotel room with an extra! :laughing:

The Starbucks you get is just VIA sachets which you can buy anywhere for about 30p a sachet max. So it is pointless! Proper Starbucks in reception of each hotel anyway. This deal should be on fire though they are brilliant for the price. Cheaper than hostels and easy hotel! Last time it didn't get very hot either.

Yes I was gonna go for upper deck but all I want is the pool and sauna. Who cares about sky movies and Starbucks!!! Went for family room but no kids so slightly more room.

So the upperdeck is 7.50 more when all you get is starbucks and sky movies? as the spa is also included in the normal rate? hmm :/

I can get all the dates i want in august for £20 - however as there are 2 adults and 3 kids we are stuffed unless i book a twin room and sneek kids in? Rang reservations - they wanted £15 per child supplement for a family room - would be cheaper to book 2 rooms......what do i do????? Twin room has 2 double beds and my kids are only little would be fine.

The basic rooms have a KS bed and a chair fold out bed, pack a duvet in the car. No one will know who actually stays in the room :wink:

Why are they so against family. As soon as I put down 1 adult and 1 semi adult, the price went up. Also, I could have booked a twin room with 1 adult and when I put down the precious child/semi-man, the room disappeared. Could I put down 1 adult and then ask my son to sneak in at some point touse the twin bed room. Frustrated.

Don't know about this year but you can deff get watford for this price. If it doesn't work drop me a msg as I have the email for the general manager there and if you tell her the sites glitching our she'll honour it as she's quite good. I booked and had to change the date 3 times due to missus being ill and she did it :smiley:

No Edinburgh in August as it's the Fringe festival and festival itself all month. What I do is stay in Glasgow to do it for a fraction of the price as even dorm bed in hostels in Edinburgh is £30+++ with 15 to a room! Megabus £1 each way Edinburgh to glasgow last one leaves 12:30am every night

Don't forget 8% topcashback so £1.60 per night, reducing it to £18.40. Full pool sauna steam jacuzzi access included in the cheap rate no need to do "upperdeck" upgrade which I think is pointless. Very exciting electronic no key code or coin wristband system for lockers in Edinburgh and Glasgow and possibly more. Often you have have a free late checkout to at least 12 if you ask nicely at reception. You can use the pool facility after you have checked out (maximise time in room)! Glasgow and Edinburgh both have 24/7 buses to right outside (Glasgow) and 3 min walk (Edinburgh). Nearest for London is Watford which is actually in Elstree. This is zone 6 with frequent trains from St Pancras taking 20mins.its then a 5-10 min bus ride from Elstree station then a 7-min walk from bus stop. A bit countrysidey by London standards but still urban really. On a posh business park.

I couldn't get Edinburgh to work either. Ended up booking with Premier Inn's new "Hub" .. Cheap small rooms with high tech - perfect for a weekend break and a better location than Village.

The Newcastle one is no where near the city, expect an reasonably expensive taxi ride, probably the price of the room.

i just booked Glasgow ,August bank holiday saturday, upgraded added £15 for breakfast , and £15 for dinner , total £50

Can't find a room in Glasgow! However, not surprising as the last sale was just as frustrating due to Village Hotel's very glitchy website. Just keep trying on a PC and Android and you may just get there.

Edit: It seems that the dates I wanted aren't available, 19 and 24th June. I can find rooms in July.
