Someone asked me if i've spotted any deals for legoland windsor, so thought i'd share :)

You can get a Family Four with 2 days in park, hotel, breakfast & more from as little as £34pp

Various hotels, some closer than others and with various facilities.

Various dates and some even on Fridays.

Legoland have added more dates to their ''kids go free' promo - see thread

I've stayed at the Hilton Basingstoke for 4 weeks (Monday-Friday) as part of work trips. Avoid!

Read the tripadvisor reviews. A very dated hotel. Mouldy bathrooms and musty smell throughout. Management response to the negative reviews always refers to an ongoing 'refurbishment programme' but there is 0 sign of this going on in the hotel - I saw no rooms shut off or any tradesmen working and none of the several colleagues I stayed with had refurbished rooms (and we covered about 20-25 different rooms over the 4 weeks).

I was looking at this before I booked as I have 3 kids with 1 under the age of 2, and I could not find any info on this (maybe I didn't look hard enough).

Anyway, I booked the tickets and just thought if I have to pay anything I'll just pay. FYI I booked to stay at the Hilton in Basingstoke. I did not have to pay anything extra through out my day as under 2s go free in Legoland and the Hilton was happy I came with my own travel cot

I Hope this helps.

I went to Legoland Sunday and yesterday courtesy of this deal. Thanks OP. I have 3 kids with the middle one just under 1.0m and we are talking by 5mm!! Anyway some rides require the child to be 0.9m+, but majority of the rides require 1.0m+. She was really disappointed that she couldn't go on any of the water rides. Other than that they really enjoyed it.

I hope that helps

Anyone looking for a real deal. Wait til the LEGOLAND tickets have appeared on Sun, you know those where you collect tokens, people then sell those on Ebay and purchase their unwanted tickets for ridiculous prices. Me, mrs, child went last year for £11 for all.

Thank you for the information. Yes its definitely worth playing around with the dates. And this time its looking slightly cheaper to book through the UK site for my date range. When I went 3 years ago it was getting on for £200 cheaper via the French web site.

Thanks about the voucher codes, I won't need to waste time looking for some then
Is worth noting Quidco are offering 3.5% cashback at the moment.
Also my utilities provider (utility warehouse) are offering 4.5% cashback on Disneyland Paris at the moment.

Well Disney deals work in cycles. So you have to figure out which is best for you 2d2n free which £ note is the best deal or a % plus free meal plan. Also the foreign sites are cheaper for some, not always. I've always booked with UK as that has been cheaper for us personally.

It's all about booking early with DLP and if a better deal comes out, you can change it. That said the biggest factor is playing with the arrival date. Weekends are always expensive. Sometimes changing to a Thursday or something can save a lot. Our recent booking, there was £650 difference arriving one day, and the very next day! There aren't any vouchers. It's just choosing the right time to book and playing with the arrival date.

I've used the French web sites before as a method of getting better prices. However for this years holiday it works out about the same for me to book via the UK web sites. Still its worth bearing in mind, tips on the links below. thanks

I don't know why I'm lucky, most dates in early July are around that price. I suppose the main thing I'm lucky with is that its before the school kids break up for Summer (last chance this year before my 4 year old starts school in September). But then again the main dates on this Lego deal are during school term.

12 Apr 16 #56
Thank you, totally agree with you!
So I will most likely be going back to Disney Paris this July for the same reasons.
Last time I went 3 years ago it was significantly cheaper booking through the French version of the Disney web site but its about the same this time round. Do you know of any voucher codes or any way to get cheaper than on the official Disney web site? thanks

12 Apr 16 #52
Hi, your very lucky getting that price. However for my family of 2 adults and 2 kids (of 11 and 9) goes up to £810. Guess it's down to everyone's individual circumstances.
Rich069

Never said I paid it. I stayed in the Vienna dream house at the cheaper price-however the Disney hotels themselves were at the higher one. Even sites like Expedia are as high if not higher than the Disney site.

As an overgrown kid, I've wanted to visit Legoland for ages BUT I don't have any children. So just wanted to ask if there's enough for (immature!) adults to enjoy and have a laugh there for a day or is it specifically focused on younger children?

Thanks :-)

Well then you're looking in the wrong place. We gave up taking short breaks in the UK when we realised we could go to France, cheaper than centre parcs.

Disneyland is all about choosing the right deal, knowing when to book and comparing all sites. We always go. You got stung if you paid that.

We've never paid more than £1000 (6 of us) for 4 nights/5 days tickets with free meal plan in a higher end Disney hotel. During school holidays.

We've paid that for Christmas this year again, in the golden forest lake view rooms.

We looked at going to the Lego hotel a few times and for one night during school holidays it's around the 1k mark for our party. It is hideously expensive and he's right; it's cheaper to go to Disneyland! You just need to book the right deal. I've yet to ever see the Lego hotel come close. 1 night is always around the same price as a break at Disney.

I live close to the Hilton Wokingham St. Anne's Manor and I am in there most days of the week to use the gym and health club.

I quite often meet families staying at weekends for Legoland trips and I've never heard any of them complain about the hotel. Would definitely recommend it, a nice rural setting even though literally right next to motorway. About 20 minutes drive from Legoland.

Exceptionally good price & even better that it includes some Fridays, which
under normal circumstances at LL you pay through the nose joint for!!

At this price we can afford to pack up the diy home theme park..

I'm being serious, Saturday 9th of July, 2 nights (3 days pass in the park), in one of the Disney hotels - Hotel Cheyenne. They are doing an offer including half board meal plan - £399 grand total for me and my 4 year old son. Thats direct through the Disney web site, and before bearing in mind any cash back deals/vouchers etc.

I could go to the Davy Crockett Ranch hotel and thats even cheaper at £341 but is self catering and not half board and more suited to those travelling in a car. Really enjoyed it when I stayed at Davy Crockett 3 years ago but this time I'm not taking the car.

Buy the queue jumpers passes (trust me). When I've been I found everyone at legoland talked about the queues, those who bought the passes talking about how amazing they were, those who hadn't were complaining about the queues and queue jumpers

I stayed at holiday inn farnborough through budget holidays and had one day at legoland. Excellent value. Hotel was really good , nice welcome gift and departure gift for my son and he got a free cookie and hot milk on arrival. Legoland was really great queue times not too bad worst one was about 40 mins. Would recommend to others, probably wouldn't go in August but will book again for next Easter.

I've just come back from the Copthorne in Slough. Ok hotel. Breakfast is good but the room was very very hot. No a/c. Just a window that opens about 2 inches and an inbuilt fan unit that barely blows. A very uncomfortable night. I can only imagine what it must be like in summer.

you wish. Min £600 for the cheapest Disney hotel for 2 nights without park passes. Just got back from there. Go for the hotels on the edge off the ring road, and pay approx £150-£200 and are just, if not better, than the Disney ones.

I went on this last year. Strongly recommend the Hilton in Basigstoke. They were really nice to us despite the fact we had paid next to nothing to stay there. They gave the kids a free soft drink then just decided to keep on giving them free to the kids all evening.
Breakfast was REALLY fabulous.

The hotel itself looks more like an office building on an industrial estate than a hotel but rooms were more than adequate for the money.

I went there last year for the 1st time,is a great place.
Good thing about staying at the hotel is that it backs onto the park; meaning it's a short cut to the park, rather than going to the main entrance which is at the top of the hill.

Remember my dad used to take me there to see the lions, when used to be Windsor Safari Park.

Yes, this is a really good deal, under 10s will absolutely love it. Older ones will enjoy it too, but will find some rides a bit young for them.

Hilton Basingstoke is the cheapest for a reason - its quite a long drive from Legoland, and you will be doing that drive at peak times of the day. Also, its not near to anything. The Slough hotels are much closer, although you'll still find the roads are busy.
