Picked up a couple of these today and for what they do they are a bargain.
Handy if you have new door handles to fit or your existing door latches have had it.
Might not seem much of a deal but compared to other stores who knock these out for much more i thought i'd post in case it helps someone.

I wouldn't bother, I've been there and done these. The insides fall out as soon as they look at a door. Do yourself a favour, spend a bit more for a bit of quality.

Nice find. I don't know whether anyone else has the same problem or whether it's just my local Screwfix but they are so slow there is always a queue and not enough staff.

We have 2 branches and both are a lot quicker than they used to be.maybe your local store is having problems. Try ordering online first as that's a quicker pickup.

Yes, same problem here.
Fortunately there's a Toolstation within a few hundred meters where there's always plenty of staff and identical items are usually 10% cheaper.
Guess where I tend to shop...

Buy cheap... buy twice. I've had to systematically replace EVERY SINGLE one of these cheapo door latches around my house with Yale etc. The worst part? it never really aligns up properly again without leaving an unsightly mark :disappointed:

Don't buy cheap door latches, when they break you can get stuck in the room, I know this from personal experience.

Happened to myself Last month, had to almost destroy the door to get out, was looking at this because I need to replace it

Exactly what I've found, the inside part wears very quickly so that even when you turn the handle as far as it will go, the door won't open.
And even when they're new, there is so much sideways slack in the latch that its impossible to adjust it so that the door doesn't rattle, which is really irritating.
Spend a bit more and get a better one, then you can fit it and forget it.
