Has anybody successfully created recovery media When I run Toshiba Recovery Media Creator it states NO HDD Recovery Area. I can see a total of 5 partitions. Googling hasn't been of any help. :neutral_face:

got mine delivered today. slightly different spec to what's shown above. i3 5005u 2.00Ghz. only problem with mine is there is a slight cut in the power lead. argos phones are shut now. anyone know what the process is? will they just send a new power lead?

Argos use a third party for their PC repairs and refurbs - D&J Henry based in Coventry. Phone them tomorrow on 02476886826 and they'll sort something out.

As far as I can see it's severe months under three years old, or at least the Haswell CPU/graphics component is came out in 2013 and is now two generations out of date, so to speak, if the incremental improvements that came with Broadwell and now Skylake matters to anyone. Considering that additionally it's refurbished, the price seems okay, though I would thought if it retailed at £399 it would either perhaps be an i5 or have a higher resolution screen. Seem to be sold out or I would have given some heat.
the " local warehouse" model is costing them sales ..Its absurd. They should offer an order from eBay via the shop and collect in shop service . Totally ridiculous this isn't available.

Mine came with windows 8 but not sure which version. I didn't check before upgrading straight away to windows 10 via USB.

how are the speakers on this? i am after a fairly cheap laptop, mainly for spotify and web browsing, but low end laptops generally tend to have poor speakers, however this says it has skullcandy ones, they any good?

Lot of people will not notice this as they maybe do not have quality screen to compare . When you see good screen it is very very hard to go back poor quality screen

Recently purchased one of these and it came as new. All the cellophane was still around the laptop and stickers attached to the keyboard etc. Great up to date laptop with i3 processor.
