Excellent deal- in my opinion the best value red wine you can buy in the UK. They also have a reserve version which is dearer but also very nice. My wife likes the rose. Does anyone know if they will be doing a white one?

Just got back from Lanzarote, where a bottle of white wine at Lidl was 40p. Cheaper to drink wine than bottled water there.

I think they all work for Aldi, it makes a nice vinegar though

You should never cook with a wine you wouldn't drink. And if everyone liked the same wine they'd only need to produce one

I too am an 'ordinary' and having tried drinking this, would only use it for cooking!. The malbec is OK though!

Nice wine. I buy a bottle every time I do a shop, but like someone else has said, it is £3.49 normally.

As someone who works in a wine shop but can't stand the snobbery, this wine is only okay. It's a bit thin and not really typical of it's style but at that price is perfect for a BBQ or something. If not, spend a bit more and go for a Rioja joven if Tempranillo is your thing.

This is one of my favourites and I'm well stocked! Would have picked some up some more this morning if I'd noticed the price but I only had eyes for the Prosecco which seems to have been permanently reduced in price to £4.99.

Good for coq au vin..........but to drink??

Worth noting that the Toro Loco Bobal Merlot 2013 got a Silver Award and the Rose got a Bronze.

Personally I'm not a fan of tempranillo grapes so I'd go for the merlot and bobal even if it's a bit more expensive. Each to their own.

Crazy Bull is an apt name for the wine when people rush to clear it off the shelves without having tasted it first.

That said, from memory the 2009 one was pretty good but no idea what this one is like. In fact they haven't even put the year on the website.
