Great for my Mifi which only generally uses around 900Mb a month anyway so that's 12 months use with one sim for me (use fixed broadband at home)

3 service generally excellent & MyMemory are one of the most reliable companies I have dealt with both on & off eBay.

For low data users these are excellent & would also be an idea for those with dual sim phones on PAYG ....just insert in slot 2 & use these for your data if you only have a low allowance.......may even get one for my Dad who currently pays £1 per 100Mb on his phone

are these only for data devices or can these be used in a normal phone (for data use only - no calls /sms)?

is "feel at home" applicable with this sim? - edit - ebay ad says feel at home compatable :smiley:

Need to get something like this, but can't buy from ebay for work I think and am in a hurry.

Is tethering allowed with this SIM? the 3 website seems to say you aren't allowed to tether on PAYG, just wondering if anyone can confirm that.

Ideal for people how travel about and use a MIFI... Lots of my motorhome / camper mates are getting these. Really useful as well if you go on holiday to France / Spain etc.

Once the 12 GB is used, as I will use before the 12 month period, what are the options and prices to top up?
Or is it simply easier/cheaper to bin the SIM and start a fresh?

​Yes mifi uses the allowance, you can use it in the feel at home countries and that comes off your allowance as well.

So effectively MiFI usage doesn't count as tethering and would be the same as using on an ipad.

Feel at home doesn't include tethering even if your plan does include it in the UK. I learnt that last summer the hard way.

It does on a data only sim.
Talk and text Sims are not allowed to tether abroard.

2) Do DATA sims allow for tethering in feel at home countries?
(smartphone sims from three do not allow tethering using your UK allowance outside the UK)

3) When does the 12 months start?

4) How long can you postpone the start point?
So can you wait upto 12 months and buy 2 to use sequentially

​This is just a data sim, you can either stick it straight in your tablet and use or stick in a spare phone / mifi device and tether. Either way will use the data allowance. If you use in a feel at home country it's the same, just comes off your allowance as it's a data only sim.

Will the sim fit my ipad air 2 ? Also will the data work abroad in one of their covered countries?

5) Can these types of SIMs be used in a smartphone?
Imagine one month you run out of data, this could then cover you for a few days (sure you could not receive calls and texts, but whatsapp and viber will still work on your phone

The sims are DATA ONLY.....you could put in a spare mobile & tether or use in a MiFi device or in a 3g/4g enabled tablet...or in my case the spare sim slot in my dual sim phone

YES these can be used for tethering in feel at home countries.....they are DATA only

The last time there was a good offer I bought 3 & used them after each other....over around 30 months

Yeah but this it just a mobile internet sim card, so hopefully I can get it to work in my 4g modem.

Thanks for that information; my daughter is always running short of data and has a dual SIM phone so this would be ideal. Hopefully, she will also be able to use it when she is in the US on a sports tour in July (from what I have understood).
