sorry perhaps I wasn't clear enough, it sounds normal on tv...Netflix..etc but the box set is high pitched

good attempt at humour though..I guess

sent mine back as the audio was awful, high pitched voices etc

having watched each episode a good few times, it was impossible for me to enjoy with bad audio

not sure if it's every box set or just a handful but I've read reviews from a good few people who have said the same thing

Absolutely there are only 4 seasons. It's proven by the pizza.

Great show. It went downhill slightly the last few seasons but even then was still better than most US comedy shows.

I prefer Curb Your Enthusiasm though.

I was reading a few days ago on Reddit or some other reliable source of information that series 8 and 9 are crap.

The Office is what made Gervais, when I used to watch him on The 11 O'Clock Show I thought he was just another useless comedian like that mate of Jools Holland who I've forgotten the name of. Anyway he turned it around and is actually funny fairly often.

I'd definitely say The Office USA is an exception, as a Gervais mega fan who was reluctant to even watch the first episode, I can confirm it's genuinely just as good as the UK version.

As in there is actually only 4 seasons in real life...

I agree with Elevation, American shows really suck the life out something that was originally great, everything turns into pretty much a serial or soap.

The good version knew when to stop. The American version eeks it out to 9 serie....er..."Seasons" (had thought there were traditionally only 4 of those).

I watched the whole series on Netflix a few times over, then watched it on Amazon prime too and the audio was slightly faster and a bit higher pitched on Amazon. Im sure it's not normally noticeable except that Iwatched the series so many times I know every world :confused:

Mmmm although I know I don't have a time machine this really isn't that great a deal considering it was £24.99 for months at both HMV and Amazon without any code then about a month ago it was £20.69 @ Zavvi using a code so must admit I'd wait and see if it drops in price again :wink:
