If you're buying on PS4, I recommend Driveclub. Its easily one of the best racers out there. Xbox, I'd say Forza Horizon 2 as that's a fantastic racer also. Both games can be gotten rather cheap now as well. Hope this helps :sunglasses:

Ive enjoyed forza horizon 2 and forza 6. Some of the best racing games out at the moment in my opinion. Xbox exclusives though. I didn't like drive club on the ps4, i never felt connected to the way the cars controlled or the way the computer controlled cars raced against you, always ended up dirty.
Unfortunately i haven't played many more. I enjoyed mario kart on the wii u if you can call that a full racing game. Best offline/online multiplayer game for me personally anyway.
I also played bits of the need for speeds for next gen that weren't too bad for a more arcade feel.
But for the best racing games of this 'next gen' its gotta be the forza games. They are just awesome and suit any skill level. If you like racing games i'd go as far to say they are system sellers.

Asseto Corsa coming to PS4 next month which I think is better than Project Cars.
Also there are some indie racing games out there

I got this for 4 quid. And i would not buy again. The way the game controls is just awful. Its like the cars are on ice, its a constant wrestle.
A common issue if you google it.

The problem is it acts like an RPG, and so your driving model improves as you progress and pick up new parts. Awful idea, of course. The one genre you don't want the fundamentals to improve over time is in a racing one.

what would you recommend as a good driving game? I'm looking to buy one? Esp. if it has multiplayer offline which alot of game these days don't seem to have anymore.
