Read the reviews and ignored them. Other people liking or not liking a flavour is irrelevant to me. The fact that the majority of reviews have given half of the flavours a rating of 4 and 5 stars, shows how much this is a matter of personal taste.

Best thing I did was get rid of the Tassimo machine. It was a bit of a gimmick, and the drinks didn't taste great.
Now, a packet of coffee beans costs ~£3 in any supermarket and makes many coffees that taste infinitely better than anything that came out of that mini vending machine.. Just my opinion, but if you don't want to stretch to £300 for a large bean to cup maker, even a simple cafetiere with plunger will make better coffee.
Glad I found all the reviews before committing. So in the sales I picked up a good bean to cup machine - couldn't be happier. Your loss Tassimo.

I love mine and have one each morning. Managed to get the oreo from poundland and a coffee really cheap from another website so have enough coffee for a while.
The coffees are up to people's tastes. I am the only in the family that likes the oreo one which is good as I get to drink them. I love the morning coffee one and Americano.

What people were complaining about, including myself, was the change to the ones that included the milk, therefore the standard coffee ones are unchanged for anyone interested.
Great find, will be ordering.

They taste nice in my machine, having had both types I don't miss the old pods now.

And voted hot for those that aren't just here to brag about how 'coffee' they are...

Completely agree, and I didn't even try the "improved" versions.

We love ours, I admit I could spend my time going through Peruvian Ferret droppings with a pair of tweezers loking for the finest beans, and my whole morning grinding beans with a pestle and mortar before painstakingly using science apparatus to produce the perfect cup.
Or I could slap a pod under a cup and press a button, it works for me.
Cheers, there are a few flavours there I fancy trying that I saw in Costco but didn't want to spend a lot on a case full!
If you do like your Tassimo, I'd recommend being a Costco member, a case of Costa Americanos is often £12.99 VAT free. Good deal if you go through them, also amazon normally do the cases pretty cheap as well. Depends if you like variety.

Good deal if you have a machine and enjoy their drinks.
Personally not for me as they insist on adding sugar to all of their milk based options. Kind of ruins it for me - if you just want black coffee and really want a pod machine, nespresso is the way to go (and very similar in price for the cheaper nespresso machines)
Your only option for a pod machine that does lattes/cappuccino etc is a dolce gusto (their "light" milk pods dont have any added sugar), but even they are starting to add sugar to even more of their drinks now

Just get a cheap milk frother and use real milk. The stuff in the pods is revolting. I try to buy the pods which don't come with milk as you get better value.

^^ exactly what i've done, although with a Nespresso machine instead as if you don't like the milk pods, there isn't a massive benefit in a tassimo machine imo. Unless you really love the costa branded pods.

I don't buy nestle though, so nespresso is out for me

Same reason I have the Tassimo - bought it to replace an espresso/cappuccino machine that I'd split the cost of with a workmate (but it takes too long to use at work - so it's now in my kitchen). He won't buy Nestle so I got a Tassimo - the milky coffees are horrifically bad but the black ones are OK (as long as you avoid Carte Noir which tastes burnt & watery).
As others have said this is a good price for what they are, but if you're not in a rush just buy a small cafetiere or a paper filter cone and some ground coffee. Much cheaper and less plastic to throw in the bin.

Ordered mine, thanks OP. Live miles away from my nearest Tesco, but got delivery for £1 so pleased with that too. Thanks.

How many pods do you get ? Had one of these machines for Christmas but used all the pods in days . It now sits unused on top of a kitchen unit , like many thousands of others I imagine. Was going to refill the pods but it seems a lot of hassle for a cup of coffee

On some like the hot choc you get 8 drinks, the coffees vary and I tend to go for the 16 pods and use the top up feature to fill a proper size cup.
You can have a look online and use the machine for normal coffee i.e freeze dried. Basically you trick the machine to dispense hot water. That way its not another device not used, like the bread maker, ice cream maker waffle maker etc

We normally drink nescafe at home, so was doing some research before buying the machine to see if we go for tassimo or nespresso. Got the sunny model in the end and very happy with it. As for the models with filter...
Why not get a Brita jug and have filtered drinking water, and use the same to pour into the tassimo machine? You're gonna pour water in the machine anyway, so why not have the jug do two jobs! And save money!
As for the argument about instant / bean to cup / etc versus these pod coffees, the latter works for households who are time poor in the morning (ever heard of school runs). Pop the pod, take a shower and by the time you're dressed the coffee is ready. :-)

I don't think the new pods taste much different to the old. Give them a shake and I find them to be fine. The main issue for me is price. I'm considering getting a bean to cup machine. Good thing about tassimo is it's easy to use and you get your coffee a lot faster!
