All in the title really folks. Just signed my parents up to this 12 month contract which I feel offers incredible value. Sign up through topcashback for £47.50 cashback (actually tracked at £49.87 with their premium membership that costs £5/year although I have a 3 month trial), kudos to BINALSEJ. Only 2gb data now though. Still good, works out £5.85/month if you just stay the year (with the increased tcb)!

According to their new TV advert, that cost 10's of thousands of their
shareholders money, they now have a signal to beat all signals..
Oh hang on, scub that, they STILL have no signal.. just realized it was
just another mis-leading advert.. >>>>>
2g? Vodafone, should be renamed Yodafone..
The signal was better in the late 70's, when star wars came out and we used "imaginary"
cardboard communicators, like they used in the 1st Movie! >>>>> http://bfy.tw/5K7V:disappointed:

I echo that - dreadful customer service, even worse than the mainstream mobile providers and Utility companies. Mind you, possibly not as bad as ID mobile - but that is in a league of its own.

Vodafone's great here. Got them ID one month rolling, literally zero signal in their house, so they're going back. Signal experience is obviously not going to be a universal experience.

This all depends on where you are! so a bit pointless warning others.
All mobile signals for me are total rubbish, except Vodafone.
I have this deal and have had no problems, ported OK, Cashback messed up at first but paid correct amount in the end. 3000 minutes 5000 text and 4GB works for me at just over £5 per month first year.

Absolutely terrible customer service. The worst by far of any company I've ever dealt with. Will never use them again no matter how good the deal. Avoid imo.

Not sure the deal is still available. There is a good deal from the ID network, has anyone ever used them?

I'm on this at the moment. Faster data than ee where I am, and better coverage. I had an account issue which needed sorting, and customer services were exemplary. Great deal.

This looks like quite a good deal, so I have added some heat. Unfortunately the Vodafone coverage at our holiday house is poor, so I decided to remain with Three, but otherwise I think I would have changed to this deal. Good find OP.

I've been with talkmobile for 3/4 years (since the mega HTC One S with unlimited data deal for £15 a month) and have not had any problems with customer service (always been helpful) or major issues with signal. It's sometimes been rubbish in remote areas but nothing that has really affected me dramatically.

Ive heard that talkmobile is planning to bring back unlimited data . Can i ask how you find the speeds for data ? It is all probably just a rumour though but hope unl data comes back.

signal is dependent on where you are. my home when I moved in had no vodafone signal, which is who I had a contract with! my work had no 3 signal which is who supplied our work phones! and my parent's and parents in law have no ee signal. however I have never had an o2 phone!

A few points from me having recently switched two contracts to this deal...
Much better data speed in the sticks on 3G than Three's 4G (.25mb/sec more for us)
...but
Speed in centre of Leeds non existent so no good for me. Cancelled within 14 day period and have had all manner of pain making sure it has been. I've spoken with about 8 different people who all assured me it was cancelled but I'd had no email to confirm and reading aboput problems cancelling online I bugged them incessantly.
At the weekend the latest person I spoke to said that there were early termination charges on the account, even though previous 7 said all was fine and balance was clear. So BEWARE.
Great deal
Sporadic coverage
Awful customer service

I knocked the unlimited data on the head a year ago, I only normally only use about 2-300mb a month so it was a waste of money for me but I streamed the whole of an F1 race from sky sports a couple of times at my mums with no problems at all. At the time it was faster than my hopeless sky broadband.

Surely you'd never have to deal with vodafone customer services anyway being they're only using their network, won't they have their own customer services? I never spoke to Vodafone once in my last 2 year contract, so can't comment on that. Everything else was perfectly acceptable though.

I just changed my son over, good deal however it's a bit misleading because they charge VAT extra. Customer Service is very good so far, I've spoken to them twice.

I haven't set them up yet, so you're saying they charge £12 a month?
eikito
21 Apr 16#31
Yes, they advertise £10, but when they bill you they add VAT making it £12
omtom23
23 Apr 16#32
I just had same issue with my first bill. Contacted them and they said first bill is more expensive due to line-rental charges, and split billing period (whatever that means), but said it goes back to standard charges for remaining months (they did state final bill is also a bit different). All a bit confusing, but as I understand it, essentially over 12 months, it's a tenner a month.
