I use wired, I'm right infront of the tv. Avoids the fuss of ctrl switching itself off when I'm on chat & not playing a game. No need to keep charging etc. got afterglow, it suits me

There are valid reasons to want a wired controller, like lower input lag and requiring no charging/batteries.

Really like the DV one. Shame it's wired. Do they still produce them with the wire separator like on the original Xbox?
Heated, dude.

A good thing.
XBox One still has issues with controllers disconnecting, I bought a 5m USB cable so that I can wire my controller directly.

why are all non-official controllers wired? I'm guessing Microsoft / Sony won't let them use the wireless/bluetooth protocol as I can't see why anyone would want to put out a wired controller in this day and age, it's like shooting themselves in the foot before they even started.
Shame as it's not a bad looking controller really, but wired in 2016.....

Its because they aim for a budget price so they can compete and the in-built Batteries up the price.

I'm pretty sure they will. I purchased the Afterglow Prismatic Xbox One controller & works fine with PC gaming.

i prefer weird controllers as you dont have to faff about with batteries and chargers etc plus im only sitting infront of the pc any and........Defo the darth vader one for me
Yeah. quite often mine end up 'wired' just due to lack of charge. All these naysayers must spend most of their time on Dance Central.

I dotn understand why MS havent fixed the issue in the first place, never had this once with 360 pads, its such a maddening thing as it will be connected ok for hours at a time then disconnect/reconnect 3 times in a minute.

Never come across this issue on any of the 2 xbox ones i have. I'm sure this issue is caused by the wi-fi board and need replaced.

I started getting this though I thought it was my controller as it started happening after I had dropped the controller (though only onto carpet so shouldn't really have damaged it) perhaps it was instead a system update that caused it. Doesn't really affect play as the games always pause automatically and it's easy enough to connect it back up just a bit weird seeing as the older last gen controllers, or indeed the PS4 controller never had this issue....
