The entitlement and whining in this generation of gamers is quite pathetic really.
It's £20 and people are still crying.
This is obviously not the game for you then, is it? Just move along instead of constantly crying about it and flat out lying to people about how much "bugs" affect the game (you people clearly never played Battlefield 4) and complaining about it being a "beta" (I've seen many games twice this price with less content).
Honestly peeps, it's just boring to listen to now.
you mean they released half the game and want you to buy the rest of it?

was discussing it with a few people and have come to the conclusion that its essentially an alpha/beta and the rest of the game will be released as dlc, so might be worth buying the finished version in a year or 2 when thats actually released and on sale

Should have been a Battlefield dlc similar to how those AT-AT's looked on the Rogue One trailer. Looked like AT-ATs on Paracel Storm.

Personally I bought it last week and I love it; it's atmospheric, the maps are beautifully rendered with excellent strategy and battlespaces.
If you are a Star Wars fan it's an amazing game. If you are more of a CoD FPS type of gamer then you may find it frustrating as its not really rewarding for twitch-hyper-reflex gaming.
It's a team-based assault with blasters pinging everywhere.

Heat for the deal.
Copies are around £22 second hand at CEX.
Personally I would hold off from purchasing the game, as it has more bugs than a tramps beard.
EA/Dice know all about their broken bugged out game and have done very little to fix it.
You can read about the glitches and bugs at the link below, or follow the Twitter account. Alt of unhappy customers.
The lvl 60 rank bug is a good one, every time I finish a round my game crashes. You have to restart the console and start back up again.
Could be a great game, but the game is clearly unfinished and the current paying customers are beta testers.

Hardly rubbish, but I guess it's a matter of opinion.
Have been playing since the Beta of this Beta game. Also own the DLC.
Many major bugs and glitches from day one. Some bugs have been reported about 6 months ago through official channels and still have not been fixed. Enlighten yourself and have a quick read.
Invincibility bug, invisible walls in the sky (always fun to hit them and blow up when you're about to tie up an AT AT whilst playing WA), 0 credits after finishing rounds, blaster cannons that mis fire, lock on glitches, Fighter Squadron hit box glitches, lvl 60 rank crash, Hutt contract resets. To name a few.
Not all the above bugs came from the botched DLC update.
The group of gamers that I play with still play the game, and now know how to avoid many in game bugs and glitches. Hard to avoid the lvl 60 rank glitch.
As I said the game could be great when it is finished. only trying to make people aware of the ongoing bugs and glitches before their purchase.

I've waited for this to hit the £20 mark, so I'll bite at £21.99 for a new copy.
I enjoyed the beta but wouldn't pay £40 for it. I actually put a few videos and gameplay up of Star Wars Battlefront
I don't entirely disagree with you. However I believe the real problem is, the expectations of gamers are that much higher, it takes something special to impress. Remember how much NES sprites flickered? Remember how the N64 blurred all games with AA? Remember how some console lasers would become temperamental?
I have the PC version and found it to be very enjoyable. If you're a hardcore FPS gamer you may want to watch some videos beforehand. If you enjoy a bit of variety then check out a 'Supremacy' and 'Fighter Squadron' video before deciding

Rumours have it that there might be solo stuff in DLC but I don't believe that myself, although I would welcome it.
There were only 4 "locations" some had multiple maps (not loads though) but free DLC has added more I can't confirm numbers as I have played in quite a while and they have added maps since I last booted it up. I enjoy it though even with the bugs it's a decent romp into the Star Wars world. A liberty RRP at £90 for game and season pass though

The money spinner with this game was always all about the DLC packs, they will obviously sell bundles more when it's on Access.
FIFA 16 came out end of September and is already in the vault, this game came out mid November so it's a dead cert it will be there sooner than later, perhaps even late May.

Tbh you will get bored of it well before you have mastered the base maps. The gameplay can be extremely laggy and glitchy at times, like when you are killed even after running behind an impenetrable wall, or the nerds that run for the DF-9's and E-WEB's and camp in them all game long! Was good for a couple months and then lost its appeal for me!

I hope you ain't aiming that at me, I have said exactly what you just have many many times.
I been old n past it for 18 years now, yes I'm 43, and been playing video games since I was in single figures. And so I was paying 70 quids for SF2 on the SNES like a quarter of a century ago.
I'm not moaning about it costing an apple but I am saying that because it's at that price already it will be on EA Access in no time at all.
You disagree and we shall see in due time, every game I want I buy full price at launch. If I don't buy it I don't want it, occasionally a game comes along at cut pice I bite at but very very rarely.
I didn't want this game at 40 quid, nor do I want it at a fiver.....I'll try it out when it arrives in the vault and that's that.
I am proper #AMF thus anti FIFA and anti EA, in fact Access is the first EA product I've bought in years. To be honest at 14 quid I paid for the year it is great value hands up and it's stopped my kids moaning about my self imposed boycott on their titles.
Sorry I have my principles and opinions but it is what it is :man:

Brilliant game. Paid about £22 for base game and was happy with the 10 or so smaller maps, the 4 big maps for up to 40 players with some good game modes and the 4 or so flying fighter squadron maps. There's hours/days of play for £20. Opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one, some are more full of crap than others.

Part 4 of the DLC is due out in roughly a years time.
The game should be finished by then.
I guess it is possible if will be repackaged and bundled together. Once finished this game could become a true great. Certain gamers will keep playing. I can see myself playing in a years time.
EA/Dice are also currently offering bundles of upgraded weapons and upgraded star cards. New players can pay extra to access weapons usually available to players that are 50-60 hours deep.
I think it's £20 to unlock everything. £5-6 certain sets of weapons and cards (power ups).
So if you did buy at a later date, there is an option to jump in with upgraded weaponary from the off.
Fighter Squadron is a handy game mode for new players looking to quickly grind credits. It can help new players to quickly earn credits to buy better weapons and upgrades.
Hope that helps out.

I bought it when the deal was first posted. My order status is updated to "back order" which means they're awaiting stock apparently. There was no email from them - I just logged in to my account to check the order status after not having received it. Funny that as the item was in stock when I placed my order. Not impressed with this retailer so far. Let's see if the game ever actually turns up.
