Only problem is you can't claim the £30 cashback if it is for a current number. So probably worth taking out a new SIM, paying £10, getting £30 cashback and then using your current GiffGaff sim card.

Plenty of deals on the Z5c happening, still waiting for a decent one on the Premium however.

I was definitely going to buy one of these... Until it was released. I think it's pretty disappointing design wise and instead got the much better looking and almost as good Z3 Compact for £150 grade B in Smartfonestore a few months ago.

Just got the Xperia Z Ultra today. It's an absolute beast of a phone (6.4" screen!). First taste of the Xperia range and definitely impressed.
I've been hearing a lot of bad things about the Z5C. Some people regret buying it and wish they kept their Z3C's. I want this for the fingerprint feature.

Anyone expecting big things from a Z5C over the the Z3C is clearly a potato and can't read. However that doesn't make the Z5C a bad phone, it's very good. Fingerprint feature can be a bit hit and miss at times though.

I currently have a Z3 compact and was considering an update to a Z5 compact.
However I've been put off by a few people on here (and elsewhere) saying the difference between the two is fairly negligible..
Question I therefore have is what else should I consider?
The biggest limiting factor to take on board for any possible replacement is I don't want anything bigger (physically) than the Z3/5 compact and it must have at least as much internal memory as the Z3 compact...
If there's nothing current available, any thoughts about any new product launch to look out for before July 2016?

Actually, seriously if you like the smaller devices I would recommend an iPod touch 6 gen, great for the money (from £139) and very light and thin. Makes a great companion piece to a phone, and you will probably find you can easily carry it round with a z3 Compact in your breast pocket as I do.
Unless you have really big breasts.

thanks guys for posting feedback in this thread. I seriously considered the Z5c but apart from the (temperamental) fingerprint scanner its not really worth the extra

What is the point in buying an ipod to carry with the phons when the phone itself is perfectly capable of playing music

15 Apr 16#35
you have the z3 compact, the z5 compact or the baby Iphone. I do not know about future phones but I imagine not much in small size... But the z3c has a 4.6 inch screen and there are several phone options at 5 to 5.3 inch which whilst bigger are not massively larger if the screen takes up a larger percentage of the front of the phone.

There are pretty strong rumors that both the S7 Mini and the HTC 10 Mini are going to be proper phones this time round, if you are a compact fan it might be worth waiting for those.
Its definitely a lot better IF you dont have a case on it. I also find if there is any dirt on the sensor or my finger/thumb, its a little frustrating. The main problem is the slim area of the sensor which means it doesnt recognise a wide area. Otherwise the placement on the side is the best implementation in terms of ergonomics.

Probably not but I'm happy to pay for a genuine flagship compact.

I loved my Z1C but after a couple of years the impressive battery life was starting to go. Picked up a Z5c for similar price to this deal and very happy with it, but I can't say it's a massive upgrade even over a Z1C - but don't take that as a criticism, as all the Z*C's are great phones!
