Very seem to have some not unreasonable prices on some devices at the moment and coupled with the 20% Off code and potentially a cheeky 7% Quidco you could be making some great savings. I have already got an account and easily signed up for a new one using a different email address so this should be available to everyone. Make sure you select the 3 easy payments option so you don't pay any interest!

i totally agree, mine lasted 6 months and even though I loved it, it had the most problems I have ever experienced with a phone. what eventually killed my waterproof phone.....water damage! Say's it all really

Don't let that put you off. I've had a z3c for a couple of years and it's never had that problem. A mate of mine also has dropped his a couple of times and front and back glass still fine.
Yes the screen can break, just like pretty much most other phones out there.
Get yourself a tempered screen protector which should also help.

This guy has the right idea.
Just because you can checkout with the code doesn't mean you've gotten away with it. It's common knowledge on HUKD that Very have a team that check all codes that are used on purchases for eligibility.
It's not exactly shady dealings either, as people are going out of their way to essentially try and scam a business with a 20% off code that they aren't eligible for.
But congrats OP, you've conned quite a few people out of a fair few notes by the look of it.
mynameisthehulk
9 Apr 16#47
This is what happens when you try to apply the code to an invalid item. Very can refuse to send the goods but they certainly cannot add on the extra at a later date. You two are potty.

FYI: screens on these are pants, Mrs had one, I replaced the screen 4 times in 8 months, the rear glass is just as crap as the screen. And yes each time I used OEM parts. The shortest time for the screen to crack was a massive 2 days, with the tempered screen protector staying in tact.
on a lighter note, i was able to change the screen on this within 10 minutes due to the practice, speakers are poor but cheap at around only 3 quid. also took a dive down the toilet, ripped it apart, dried it, and it worked after an hour on the radiator.
Other than that, be prepared to spend an extra £60 a month on it the device, Thats for a new screen/digitzer, rear battery cover, speakers and screen protectors

I've had the Z3c since 2014 and its been faultless. The battery lasts for days with little use, and easily a day if used heavily. Its been in the pool abroad and its fine, it still looks like new, my mates rear screen has cracked though, maybe its just luck of the draw?

Z3 or the Z3 compact ? - none of the folks that i know who have the Z3 compact have had issues (me included) those with the Z3 (full fat) on the other hand......

10 Apr 16#56
The Z3 full fat might have issues but the Z3 compact doesn't seem to suffer the same failures; do not let one persons bad experience put you off when there are far more happy folks with the Z3 compact (seems silly to rule the phone out on the word of one person)

Absolutely fantastic phone and well worth the money. Just don't buy a refurbished model anywhere. They mess up easy. Make sure to buy a strong durable case for it though! As the glass from behind can snap somewhat easily.

Me and my wife have Z3 and Z3 Compacts and have needed 3 screen repairs between us in the last 12 months. One of them was fair enough but the other two shouldn't have happened (imo) and just tiny hairline cracks at the edge of the display can stop the touchscreen from working. Other than the fragile glass, the phones themselves are excellent and far better than the IPhone 6s I have for work in most respects.

I've had a Z3c since October 2014 and it's been in for repair twice. Once for the rear panel cracking and last month for the screen coming away from the body up near the power port, the rubber ring came away round the power/SD flap and the rear camera lens went cloudy. Both sets of repairs were fully covered by the warranty.
Having said that, I'm currently running the Marshmallow Concept software and it's really good. As others have said, battery life is great - I get 2 days minimum, even with heavy(ish) use.

11 Apr 16#64
Spot on - I've had the same experience with my z3 compact. I've just sent it away again as a small hairline crack appeared on the screen and it then stopped responding to touch input, so the glass is very fragile on them. Glad I have insurance to cover it, but the front screen has broken twice and the rear once despite always being in a decent case! Still an excellent phone and I really like it - especially the brilliant battery life.

Had my Z3 compact for nearly a year, it's in a case around half the time but had no problems with screen cracks, despite sitting on it a few times! However, the screen is coming away from the body which means the touchscreen isn't great, but it has a 2 year warranty so shouldn't be an issue getting it fixed. Aside from that, I absolutely love the phone, it's a perfect size, about the same as an iphone 5, so fits in the bra (one for the girls there) (ok, maybe some of the boys too) and great battery life. i'd buy another one, especially at this price!

Had a Very account for years - bought loads on buy now, pay later terms. Always set up monthly payments from my bank account to make sure item was paid for before interest kicked in. They seem to be a dirty word around here, but I've never had a problem with them.

I bought mine in October 2014, so I've had it a little while now. Currently no plans to upgrade as it's still great to use. Very quick, snappy and whilst the battery life isn't quite what it used to be, it still easily lasts a day with fairly heavy usage. About a month after I got it, it got a hairline crack on the rear glass without any drops or stresses (as far as I was aware). Thankfully, Sony repaired it free of charge. The turnaround was impressive too, only 3 working days from sending it off to getting it back! I also more recently had an issue with the camera which was sorted in a similarly quick time frame and for no cost.
It's much more stable and pleasant to use than both my old iPhone 4S and my old Nexus 4.
