Wow, 3 hours should be enough to charge it fully, not sure why you needed 3 weeks?

May someone who already bought it tell me the exact model(E2312 E2333 E2303 E2363 etc) ?
Could these be unlocked with ebay codes? I found codes cost about 15 quid so not cheap but still will be cheaper than buying it new unlocked

also if overheating was not an issue there is no way Sony would release an update to try to fix overheating issues. since they did, its kind of a yes they overheat clue.

you having a shat day or something buddy and feel that being petty in the internet makes you feel better? most of the people with the xperia line I work with have had issues either with overheating or them not being waterproof after 3 months. just sharing my experience and what the guy at the Sony store shared with me. if that makes you unhappy, please, by all means bypass my post.

Fantastic phone this, especially if you are using a phone in all weathers. I've never had a problem with the onboard memory being too small but you need to remember to transfer the app back to the SD card after an update and set apps to use the SD card as the default storage device.
Don't know about O2 but on Vodafone the ROM is almost vanilla android anyway and all but one app could be uninstalled.
If you want to totally de-brand the phone it is extremely easy and is not supposed to affect the warranty (not sure myself) and easy to re-brand again here's the link
I even ran over it in the mud with the tractor last week and there's not a mark on it and of course it's mud proof anyway..Love it.

I was thinking of getting a Sony xperia z5 or z3 but read that screen is easily smashed as its made of glass.
Maybe a boring moto g again would be better.

That is really great that your in the minority, its an easy google search and well known at Sony:
sorry I happen to be on strong medication and didn't format that correctly. after 3 weeks of use, it over heated while charging and the frame bent.
this is why I love this place, always someone that has to be the one to be all literal and can't just stop and think maybe someone is having a bad day.

I agree,I made the mistake of asking if I could get my android apps on a windows phone once. When I'm well I'd remember that you can't but not feeling well and brain foggy. This was on an old thread, and some of them had a field day laughing at me and being jerks. Good to be perfect isn't it?!
Mine overheated after 3 weeks of charging and the frame bent. Its a common problem for the xperia line if you google it. Sony wanted £133 for a new phone as it was deemed not fixable due to cost and not part of their warranty. So be warned

Still got an Xperia phone after 2 years, also know multiple people with various different Xperia's and no problems at all. I'd go as far as saying the best phone I have ever had.

The only two flaps on a M4 Aqua are for the Sim Card Slot and Micro SD slot.
Are you sure you don't have a M2 Aqua which had ports for EVERYTHING including charger and headphone slot

Bought this a few months ago.....nice phone but memory is complete crap......the operating system and Sony take up so much it leaves not a lot for apps you want to install.

don't bother with this phone. had it for some time and 8gb is not enough for apps. of course you can keep photos and music on sd card but there is not enough memory for normal use. I've switched back to my Z and it's still working great and way much faster :sunglasses:

On second thoughts it was about 8 months. The m4 aqua does have little flap on the power input and headphone output.
Why you need to imply im lying is beyond me lol.
Its a good phone .
Um, I just meant uninstall apps like facebook... If you want this phone to run efficiently.

Disabled / Uninstalled all removable bloats, Have a few apps I use, 1gb free
I do not keep music / games / picture collections on it , SD card would be fine for that anyway (?)
"Upgraded" from moto g 4g 8Gb, not feeling the "wow".

Don't bother unless it's at least the 16 gig version. With the 8 gig you'll run out of app room immediately after updating apps and only a tiny proportion can be moved to a SD card. You can remove and disable a few built in apps but it's unacceptable that Sony even considers 8 gig as usable. It's not trust me.

I bought this M4 second hand (unused though) on ebay over a year ago as my first smartphone at a little under this price. Pretty much does what you need, you obviously uninstall facebook ap etc.
It has lasted quite well. After a year both of the flaps for the headphone and power socket fell off... Within 3 days of each other. It went all crappy for a while but then I realised I had to update the software and now its normal again. 32gb micro SD is fine.
It has a slight defect on that if pressure is put on the screen it can cause a little pocket to form in the centre of the screen. Happened to my mums M2 and I sent it back under warranty and was sorted in a couple of days. I had the same issue but ot went away on its own (cycled with it my back pocket like a moron).
Anyway, I think this deal is good.

If you buy this in store be careful, my local O2 store tried to give me used ones as new, inspect them carefully as they tried two of them and both had fingerprints all over them.
The M4 doesn't have any flaps on the charger or headphone socket, it's also not even been out for a year so no you didn't.

Confused, so if you bought this phone and wanted to use Facebook on it, then you'd uninstall Facebook? How does that help if you wanted to use Facebook?

I have spent all day rooting mine because the bloatware. Could only get a couple of apps on before it kept telling me to delete stuff, or I can add anymore. Don't bother with the 8gb. Seems a nice phone otherwise.

8GB could be a problem, but heat for the price.

It can be expanded by up to 200GB so this shouldn't be a problem. It's also waterproof and dust proof which is great for the price.
I wasn't really looking for a new phone but am quite tempted by this. I couldn't justify spending £400 plus on one and this does everything I need.
