Well I never.
A phrase originally coined to depict prostitution has been 'adopted' by those interested in modifying their motors! :man:
Great unit for the price, the new new version looks a bit more less playstation 1 and more
pleasing to the eye ;-)

Can you turn the lights off so you don't look like a 14 y/old Corsa loving chav ?

you can turn the lights off. But i prefer them on plus my nephews and nieces love the flashing lights. This is a quality Sony product not a vauxhall product. I drive a Audi S4 and i have one.

The light show is pretty useless to be honest, I never use that feature! Speaker itself is great.

It's not that big, but how can you have a 2 subwoofers off that size in a small box? My old golf had 4 12" cerwin vega's in a box that was a lot bigger than this.

Sony generally have nice quality stuff, but I find these speakers to offer quite poor quality compared to their more civilised stuff. The bass in particular has quite poor depth and doesn't reach very low. BUT, at this price, a lovely garden/party speaker!

Lol I own two of them and a stereo 32 band eq, and must agree the sound needs work to get them sounding open and more dynamic but boy when tuned correctly they are quite beastly, I use them for my mobile DJ rig as the frequency response is still allot better than similarly priced PA speakers given good range to 37hz before rolling off steeply.

The only thing you could do is investigate a bit further. From my knowledge it was not possible. Also prefer my sound bars for the tv's.

I don't see why you couldn't, the spec states 3.5mm jack and rca connectors. I know optical is generally preferred as a digital connection but isn't essential....

It looks like they are bringing out a newer version of this soon... Your text here
Or if you really want to show off you could buy this 1500w beast.... complete with strobe lights :sunglasses:

Really cool looking bit of kit, if it dropped below £100 I'd probably buy one, though not sure exactly what I'd do with it as I tend to listen to most of my music at the PC.
That said I wonder how good it would be as a PC sound system or even in from of a TV as a sound bar type solution? Would imagine the lights would be distracting with it in front of a screen unless they can be turned off....

You can't connect it to your TV. You need to buy the newer version to do it. The Mhc v7d retails around £400.

Sound quality is superb. I have the Sony htx t1 sound bar and Sony hts t3 bar too. But wanted something with more bass. At the time myself and my brother in law plus his 5 mates bought them and we all love the sound from it. Plus nfc one touch to my z3 plus my Sony hi res Walkman

I paid £129 when Sony had to clear them. If they ever went down to £99.00 I would buy another one.
