good deal but I wouldn't class £100 m&s voucher as equivalent to£100 cash as I get them from work at Christmas and struggle to even spend them!

Can anyone able to tell sky charges for new line installation
My contact runs out in 10 days if I took this offer and in 3 months time I move to new build homes where there is no line installed. Do I need to pay for new line. If so how much?
CURRENTLY WITH EE, they told they will do for free.
Thanks in advance

topcashback OR quidco

Thanks for replying, but does that mean I have to buy them twice. One from quidco and the other from topcashback and make sure that I cancel 1 late on and go through customer care with prove and the other one just do it as normally anyone would do. Is that how if work, if there are other forum discussing about this, I would like the link for it please. thanks
winchman
29 Apr 16 #75
Go to the topcashback or quidco website and sign in, then use the links given there to go to the sky website. Before you do that clear out any cookies you may have to ensure it tracks correctly. Then go through your order as you normally would on the sky website. After a few days you should see on the topcashback or quidco website you have signed up that the sky purchase has tracked, if it hasn't you can put a claim in via customer care.

Hi, I am new here, and I like this deal. But I would like to know how I can get both cash back at the same time when they both send you to sky page with different affiliate website for you to buy their product?
kaizhu79
28 Apr 16 #73
it is all the same nowadays. Cannot understand their logic really. It has to be easier/better to keep existing custoners than attracting new ones and you build up reputation along the way too. Oh well, we are all on the quest of finding a new deal every year. It is fun, to an extend.
kaizhu79
28 Apr 16 #72
Wouldnt say the same. Yes, I had problems as you said to begin with but they did sort it out with pretty good customer service and eventually the speed was 22mb and no more disconnection throughout the term.

I guess the speed really depends on your distance to the exchange and also on the number of users locally.

For connection issues, keep pressing them. It is your issue really, not theirs so gotta keep on top of it yourself.

I have BT but paying a ridiculous amount for about 8mb download speed on average. I like the look of this offer but I don't know if I would qualify for the cashback and M&S voucher as I'm currently a Sky TV subscriber, so would I be classed as a new customer? Haven't had Sky broadband for 18 months.

I've had Sky Broadband before without any issues, but the second time was horrendous for me with the constant disconnections.

25 Apr 16 1 #69
If you email the CEO of Sky which can be found at ceoemail.com the complaint will be allocated to a member of the Executive Support Team. They will try to resolve the problem for you. Ensure you keep copies of all correspondence for future evidence just in case. After a couple of months and four engineers I'd had enough and requested to leave to find another supplier. Just ensure that you that you get in writing that there will be no penalty for leaving. I was offered around £8 in compensation which as far as I was concerned was nowhere near enough for the disruption to the household. Hope this helps.

I guess not otherwise they wouldn't be in business, you will always get the peeps with bad experience yelling loudest about any of the ISPs, but there will be thousands quietly contented and not commenting.

Hi

I am currently with sky and my Sky broadband ADSL ending after 3 days. Is there a way that i keep the number & get maximum discount/Voucher or cashback. When i contacted the Sky helpline the best they can offer is to pay linerent of 17.40.

Please advise for any retention or re-connection with some other name or any other option(if any)

I've been plusnet, sky, now plusnet again, not had any problems with either although I do think sky signal seemed a bit more stable. Sky voucher came through no problem but had to fight a bit to get cashback, got there in the end.

Called them again and just as u said, another guy confirmed cessation charge's not applied coz sky's on the bt network, and he even said coz i paid everything upfront, there's no early termination charge for move out a bit early

I got sky unlimited last week its crap the router is down more than up already. It cuts off at peak times too and is slow. Cant believe iv got a whole year to pay this now ppft..
Before this I was tethering on my 3 network, I only took sky becos it looked like a good deal an 3 dropped the unlimited tethering.. wish I hadn't bothered now.

24 Apr 16 2 #59
Horrendous broadband if you get Sky adsl. Unreliable, connection would only last short periods of time without dropping out. I had more than one bt engineer say the problem lay with sky's equipment at the exchange, but sky wouldn't accept what they were being told. I was forced to leave after about 5 months into a 12 month contract. Compensation offered was a joke also, nowhere near reflecting the inconvenience caused. The ombudsman wasn't very helpful either. Better paying more money for a connection that will work rather than Sky's joke of an internet service.
curtiskennington
24 Apr 16 #58
This isn't necessarily true. There is some segregation between BT and Sky's networks once your line hits the exchange.

23 Apr 16 #54
I guess you are outside the sky broadband network area, are you more out in the sticks rather than highly populated area?
In the t&c's:
"Sky Broadband outside Network area: Connect is available at £17pm with no monthly usage cap (£30 set-up for existing Sky TV customers & customers without Sky TV)."

When does the charge appear, when you put the offer in your basket? Or after you enter your full details?

been with (BskyB) sky since 1991,,, yes from the start, 25 years, after their retention team couldn't do a good deal for me last year i still decided to stay but with my contract ending in may i have switched to BT,,and sky have emailed me offers that make me laugh,,loyalty means nothing it will be me now switching every 12 months btween providers and getting the best cashback deals

Just applied , without even seeing this post first, my talktalk broadband had become just terrrrible, and by terrible I mean fkin unusable. doubt anything can be worse than them...

btw there is a 25 activation charge + 7quid router delivery charge!
So IF the cashback tracks this is 208.8 for the year of internet + 32activation =240.8 minus 100+70 = 70.8 total for the year( if it tracks and they dont scam you )

23 Apr 16 #47
To put the other side of the story for balance, I had problems with the broadband dropping out regularly but intermittently. Sky were more than helpful, sending me another router etc to test with but it ultimately turned out to be a cable problem at the exchange. So it was a BT problem really and not Sky's fault.
Reebok Ron
23 Apr 16 #46
If you switch from Plusnet to a provider that doesn't use BT lines then yes Plusnet will charge £30 cessation fee. But Sky is on BT lines so they should not charge for that. I had the same issue and it comes down to who you speak to at Plusnet as many of the advisers are completely clueless.

I was going to go for this but really wanted to keep fibre. Ended up going for BT, £100 MasterCard voucher, £30 cash back, and £150 cash back from top cash back, worked out at about £150 for the year includ My line rental. 52mb fibre and by sport

sky are the worst for vouchers etc. i've been a customer for many years and used to "recommend a friend" ... never got a penny voucher or credit so stopped ... have moved to another broadband provider as no offer after 12 months contract. Nothing. And their router is single band 'n' only and has the worst range which is why it needs an extender. Its old technology ...read some online reviews.

23 Apr 16 #38
Sky cash back deal took an age of pestering from me to get honoured. their ADSL was also crap for me, so i committed to an 18 month deal on fibre, being assured I could renegotiate in 12 months. wasn't true.

How does it affect the Quidco/Topcashback deals etc ? - Do they only pay out once the connection has actually taken place ?

23 Apr 16 #27
This looks ideal for me to move from my BT connection which the deal is ending soon.

Does anyone know if as part of the order process you can specify a connection date ? - My BT connection contract expires on 2nd June, so I don't want any cancellation penalty charges.

Thanks

You can usually spend M and S e vouchers in store - they have a barcode on and so just print it out.
