If you're looking for something a little studier than your average handset the JCB Tradesman 2 is as tough as they get.
Built to Military Specifications the Tradesman 2 is water resistant, certified to IP67, dust resistant and has a special plastic casing which has been hardened.
Despite it's tough design, the Tradesman 2 comes with a great battery with 350 hours of standby time and 300 minutes of talktime. Also with a camera with auto flash and video capabilities.
The Tradesman 2 has built in FM radio and a MP3 player and even operates in temperatures from -20ªC to 55ªC, it's a perfect handset for construction and engineer workers.

I clicked the link, scrolled down to the specs and there's another item for £49.99 and my brain made me think it was £49.99 despite what you said. I've had a serious chat to my brain about jumping to conclusions, currently he's in a strop with me and we're not talking..

Aren't the 2G networks being switched off soon?

Hope not, when my phone can't get a 4G or 3G signal it drops to edge/GPRS etc, which happens regularly, even in central Manchester. When venturing out further , in the countryside for example I'm very lucky to get GPRS, why would they shut down the 2G networks for people who live in these areas and its all they can get?

Still waiting for every phone to support VoLTE and all the networks to do likewise, agreeing on one standard. Realistically that's at least 5, possibly 10 years away. Until then we're keeping 2G to make calls on.
