This was a game I played on the SEGA Master System. The game itself was dam hard and the sound and gameplay were awesome.
Loving this new remake. Looks brutal!
Fantastic price. I seen the price before at £15.99 so for £11.99 is a great deal.
Get it at that price before it goes up!
There is no physical release for this game, only digital at the moment.

Had this for the Amiga. Looked great at the time, but then again so did Dizzy on the Spectrum.

It was worth dying on Shadow of the Beast 2 just for the death scene and music! Best graphics of its time on the Amiga 500!

Obviously the Atari ST version was the superior release.

Yeah, there are loads of 8 bit and 16 bit comparisons of games on various formats on youtube.
Surprised actually that the ST port is as bad as it is graphically, I am sure they could have done far better at least with the colour palette even with only 16 colours from a palette of 512 if they had gotten creative. Although in contrast the Amiga did have 32 colours on screen from 4096 available.

Always saw the first two Shadow Of The Beast games more as tech demos on the Amiga, vastly overrated in my opinion. Ironically the more playable third game in the series did not get as good reviews.

The pre-order recently dropped to £11.99 as it was £15.99 other week.
Guess the demand isn't as high as they expected.
Lets hope more Amiga games reappear.

I'm not sure it's due to the demand, as I don't think it was every going to be high, this was always only going to be 'preordered' by the old school gamers mainly. I think it's more to do with the fact it was originally up for preorder for a September release, which then changed to November, then that changed to January, which then changed to March and has now changed to May. I think it's more of an acceptance that this has been pushed back more times than Donald Trumps comb-over. Could be wrong though.
On a side note, the fact that the music to the game has been omitted from every demo play through shown has me a little hyped. It's a slightly poor secret that the original composer to the first Shadow of the Beast has been in "contact" with the devs to this. Every time they are asked if the music will be like the first game they say they can't talk about it, but they say it with a somewhat happy grin on there face.

Shame they were forced to lower the price even further before release, seems preorders for this is very low. I only have Alienation preordered but very tempted to get this also

This game was known for the Multiple layer of parallax scrolling record for the time i believe and of course the legendary music, also it was BLOODY ROCK HARD.

Had this on my radar since before the PS4 was even released when they did the reveal at E3. Back then I thought it would be released alongside the PS4, 2 and a half years later here we are. Loved the Amiga version back in the day. Not expecting this to be the same, but come on, it's Shadow of the Beast!!!

You and me both, remember watching the trailers before launch of the PS4 and expected it to be a release game or soon after then nothing for over 2 years it doesnt look much like the trailer i saw back then either.

Used to love this game on the Amiga, so atmospheric. ^ I see the Candy Crush generation disapprove.

Gonna wait for reviews. Parts of it looks great, but so far nothing more than straight up clearing room of enemies has been shown. Hoping there's more to it than that, especially since later SotB games mixed in puzzling and such.
